"Pray for George Bush"
it's late at night, and I'm bored, so i go searching around for fun conservative links to explore. Check out this one I found.

thttp://www.prayforbush.com/

"While many politicians flaunt their "faith" and claim to be Christians, not as many live their faith, with Jesus Christ living in them. We believe George W. Bush is a man after God's own heart. He is a man who lives in Christ, and obeys God. Like King David, he is not perfect, but he is repentant, humble, and full of the mighty courage that results from trusting the Lord. We believe George W. Bush is a merciful gift from the Lord to an undeserving people..."

20. Amen! Amen! Amen!
and AMEN!
Deliver us Oh Lord from Bu$h and Co.
Except that as the Benedictines or Dominicans say (I forget which): Pray as if everthing depended on God and Work as if everything depended on You.

6. Why should I pray for someone who gets direct instructions from God
All bush has to do is ask God for anything he wants and -- poof! -- by magic it shall appear.

bush is special to God.

7. They should read Matt. 7:15-23
Edited on Mon May-24-04 11:42 PM by xray s
Matthew 7:15-23, we find Jesus gives us the guideline for determining false prophets:

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

Read the news. This passage was written about guys like Bush and the fools that are enchanted by him. A corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit...

12. "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."
I've been thinking about that a lot lately.

Everything Bushco has touched has turned to shit, has literally gone up in flames and has involved much mahyem, murder, and death.

Those are the fruits of these men. Death, destruction, murder and torture.

What does Jesus say to do? Cut down the tree and throw it in the fire.

Good advice.

I pray for him, too. I pray that he will be contained and contented in some unimaginable way so that he no longer has any power to harm the world.

13. Pray for George Bush...to Go Away

The single worst moment for me was when my sweet little 5 year old nephew told me that God gave George Bush a fine mind so that he could lead us against evil. At that moment I knew that, despite my loathing of Christianity, if there truly is an antichrist, his name is George Bush.

14. "The Faith of George W. Bush"
My sister told me that the bible study group at her church were currently reading this load of crap. I very calmly asked her if she was a part of this and to my relief she said no. She is a faithful Dem (and Christian)and she is not happy about this at all.

15. bush equates himself with g-o-d
"God loves you, and I love you. And you can count on both of us as a powerful message that people who wonder about their future can hear."—Los Angeles, Calif.

Yes mr. bush, we can count on BOTH of you.

"I don't bring God into my life to—to, you know, kind of be a political person."—Interview with Tom Brokaw

Of course not mr. bush your conversations with g-o-d are a private matter.

Ahh yes, the belief in magical beings and the delusion to act upon those beliefs. It's what makes America great . . . .

I also ask the Lord to call him home as soon as possible. Up or down. Whatever the Lord's will is, I just pray he DOES IT SOON!

Ditto for Cheney.

Just like the Lord's prayer says.

"Deliver us from evil".

25. "Is there a proper blessing for the Czar?"
"May the Lord bless and keep the Bush -- far away from us!"

By now, I pray nearly every day for the restoration of our nation and the safe return of * to his "homeland" in Crawford. Or maybe he can go to Elba and commune with the ghost of Napoleon.

Very bad karma to pray for bad things to happen to him and his cronies, no matter how much I may wish it in my more intemperate moments.
