3. How about a rally in front of the VEEP's residence?
A nice cheer to vacate Al's House would be appropos.

4. Aside from the obvious terrorist attack/martial law scenario...
I think the Idiot in thief might try to make a few more "recess appointments" to the courts. Could he get away with doing that with a SCOTUS appointment, should Rehnquist or O'Connor be persuaded to retire while Congress is out of session. Or should Stevens meet with an "unfortunate accident" or "sudden illness". Would that be legal on the high court?

If the Dems retake the Senate, you can especially bet he'll try something like that.

7. Unrealistic
If there is a retiring SCOTUS justice, then we'll filibuster any one of his nominees, and there wouldn't be enough time to confirm them.

12. That's why I said "recess appointment"
I know he couldn't actually get a judge confirmed in 2 months, even if the DLC traitors voted with him. My question was - are recess appointments legal for the SCOTUS? (any legal scholars out there with the answer?)

6. Nothing!
Bush could do nothing but pardon people as he leaves. The GOP and the Bush family will NOT let him do any more damage on his way out. They don't want to muck things up for Jeb in 2008.

Do watch for others to start impeachment proceedings against Kerry ASAP. Just like they did with Clinton. Lots of money will flow into looking for something to get Kerry.

8. Kerry will just have to watch his step then.
Impeachment is all that easy to get anyway, is it? If he avoids it he will look really good, and it will blow up in several peoples' faces.

If Dubya is another one-term Bush, Jeb will never get his chance.

13. Don't kid yourself about that..
For some time now, I've actually had thoughts that Poppy stopped fighting around mid 92, and given the absolute lack of cheerleading from the RW whores last night, Junior might be "allowing himself to lose on purpose".

Why would they do such a thing? Simple. You can't raid the treasury and give all the money to your rich friends if there isn't any there.

Poppy ran up a huge deficit. Clinton cleaned it up. Junior cashed in.

Who's to say they aren't considering the same strategy again. The economy returns to normal under Kerry, then in 2008 or 2012, they send in Jebthro to drain the Treasury again. Now I would hope to God that the people wouldn't be stupid enough to fall for it, but if that were the case, this whole insane family would have been brought down once and for all in 1942 when Prescott was busted for funding Hitler.

14. That is hysterical paranoia
Sorry but c'mon. The RNC doesn't think about tomorrow let alone 5 years from now. They ain't that smart. I will say Jeb is about 10x smarter than Georgie though.

23. Jeb and chances?
Bush I was such an utter failure who would of thought W would get a chance? They are not trying to raid the treasury, they have plenty of money. They are megalomaniacal "revolutionaries". They think they need to reshape American and the world in their own image. Only they can do it because Americans are so stupid.

11. A terrible attack on US soil on Christmas, then martial law.
And with the Patriot Act bu$h will be able to maintain the office he currently disgraces for as long as possible. Kerry will sue and it will go to SCOTUS and....Oh well you know what will happen then.

18. Operation Rapture
Cruise missles and Daisy Cutters sent to Tehran, Damascus, and Mecca.

Kerry now has to reside over a holy war in the middle east, while the Neocons go to Cheney's secret bunker and wait for Jesus Christ to take them to heaven.

let them all disappear for awhile waiting for Jesus to snatch them up in the blinking of an eye, or whatever.
