Activating the Illinois National Guard? (NPR)
Heard this on NPR News this morning...didn't catch the whole thing. They were naming the Illinois cities where the guard units were getting activation notices.

Anyone know anything about this? What it means?

3. Naw, we're pissed at Iran pulling a fast one on us
so we're gonna retaliate.

Look for lots of NG and Reserves call-ups and shifting of AD forces from bases elsewhere in the world (like Germany and Korea. Which is already happening.) Heck, we'll probably be grabbing up police forces next.

4. There's Flooding in Illinois
The Guard may be mobilized to assist with natural disasters such as flooding. It's one of the very good things they do when they're properly commanded.......

5. This admin can't count - how do we know 'the homeland' will have
adequate Guard strength in light of the latest terra message - 18,000 terrorists are in the US and planning really big terror this summer?

Honestly - are the various state governors standing up and making sure their people/states are secure and have Nat'l Guard coverage?

6. There are damned few left to activate.
I remember reading that we were the hardest-hit state, in term of % of NG and Reserve units already activated; that may not be true any longer, but there are damned few units not already on active-duty. I hope to hell my IN unit isn't activated, since I plan to start law school in August.

Damn Commander Bunnypants' eyes! :grr:
