The lady at the liquor store
has done something I've wanted to do for years, my wife and my sons. she all by her lonesome convinced me to get off the sauce. I'll Stick to beer. Thank you Mam. On my visit yesterday I mentioned the Wes Clark article I read last week and how intelligent he was. You know what she asked me? She asked me did the general have anything good to say about Muslins, I offered to bring her a copy to read, like * I guess she doesn't read. Stated she hated them. Hate is too strong a word for me. Anyway I came away a completely different person. At least I hope.

4. The way I interpret it is -- he is saying
that he doesn't want to give his money to this liquor store lady because she's an ignorant bigot and is proud of it too. Is that correct, Ironpost?

I'm so sick of all these people being so proud of their hatred.

i think his wife and kids have been wanting him to quit drinking.

i'll guess that he is in a small town? with only one liquor store, so he'll stick to drinking beer that he can buy at any convience store.

whatever the case, good for him for not choosing not to patronize this business.

It's not easy writing short accurate posts that get across the exact meaning you intended. Especially, when you live in a part of the country that uses different words and phrases than others.

Don't feel bad about some of these critical posts. Keep practicing. It gets easier the more you do it. Most of us will ask for clarification - in a nice way - if we don't understand.

I'd like to hear more about your adventures in OK.

20. I wouldn't give any more money to the store owner either
I used to refuse to go the convenience store right near my house because I had the impression that the guy beat his wife. Fortunately, some other people bought the place and fixed it up and it's a nice place now. Don't know what happened to the wife, but the guy obviously didn't allow her to talk to anyone. She would look scared and run if you even tried.

I'm from WV so I can't write or speak like most of the others here even though I was pretty well educated. We just talk different here. Doesn't mean we're stupid (even though some might be):-)

To be honest Ironpost, some of them say some pretty stupid things sometimes;-) IMO.

There's a lot of hate and ignorance in this world. Seems like some people would rather close their narrow little minds and hold on to irrational hatred than let a even little bit of truth shine in.
