Idiot Freepers with too much time on their hands

Since Thursday, the top result on Google from typing in "waffles" has been Democratic candidate John Kerry (news - web sites)'s official campaign site.

The phrase appears nowhere on Kerry's site. But conservative bloggers skewed the search engine results by posting the phrase on their own Web pages and linking it to the Kerry site, in a technique called Google-bombing. (Google's search results are partly based on how many times the searched-for word appears on sites around the Web.)

lead - has to be something funny and wry. I don't know... maybe a list on a website of Ws lies? Certainly we could find a page that catalogs that... so when all of the freepers send their buds to try the google thing - they end up at a bushlies site....

6. I think it may have backfired

I read an article a couple days ago...It said that the Kerry people, well aware of the tactic, made certain that the linked page gave access to a catalogue of Buxh flip-flops.
I haven't checked it out to see if thats true, however. If it's so, that should really burn some asses over in Freeperville.

My top results are Waffle House and some band called "The Official Waffle Band." No Kerry or Bush links.
