George W. Bush promised us a foreign policy with humility. Instead, he has brought us humiliation in the eyes of the world.

He promised to "restore honor and integrity to the White House." Instead, he has brought deep dishonor to our country and built a durable reputation as the most dishonest President since Richard Nixon.

Honor? He decided not to honor the Geneva Convention. Just as he would not honor the United Nations, international treaties, the opinions of our allies, the role of Congress and the courts, or what Jefferson described as "a decent respect for the opinion of mankind." He did not honor the advice, experience and judgment of our military leaders in designing his invasion of Iraq. And now he will not honor our fallen dead by attending any funerals or even by permitting photos of their flag-draped coffins.

i think he summed up what we here at du have written about bush over the years..bit`s and pieces from thousands of contributions all summed up. it`s to bad that we are even discussing this..under president gore we would be talking about the bright future of the world not the darkness that has overwhelmed it....

Where was that guy a few years ago? He should have been speaking out against the PNAC with that kind of emotion. Great speech though, he eviscerated BushCo.

I only wish Gore spoke with such fire and conviction in 2000 and we wouldn't be finding ourselves in such a mess today.

I can't believe that such an intelligent, well spoken and passionate man lost to such a complete idiot who has trouble stringing two words together. One thing that stuck out to me was Al Gore's eloquence. I just hope he keeps it up and lights a fire under the ass of every American!

The media said that Gore "sighed too much". Hell, I'd sigh too, if I were the erudite Vice President Gore and had to debate that dim bulb.
