Ashcroft trying to make it sound like this man was 'captured' in the war on terrorism.' As for the charge of raising money for the Taliban in 1998, didn't the US under GW send money to the Taliban?
British Muslim cleric arrested

Abu Hamza al-Masri had praised Bin Ladin following September 11 A British anti-terrorism police unit raided the London home on Thursday of the Egyptian-British Muslim cleric Abu Hamza al-Masri and took him into custody.
Police arrested him on an extradition warrant issued by the United States, a spokeswoman said.
"We arrested a 47-year-old man at about three o'clock this morning," she said.
