Jeeesssss..Al was sweating up a storm yesterday!
How damn hot was it in the NY University auditorium? I felt bad for the dude cause it looked mighty hot. But that's how great he is... He managed to get through it and put out a speech that has everybody buzzing.

1. 3 and 1/2 years later and he still gets "Gored" by the media.
I haven't heard one nice thing about him on any of the news channels. *They* are all complaining that he was, "over the top". I thought he was fantastic and he is speaking to the base. He is speaking to millions of Americans who feel exactly as he does yet the media seem to have a field day with him!

He was fantastic and HE IS my President!

5. I think Holy Joe is somehow trying to punish the democratic voters
for not paying much attention to him during the primary. He sure seems to have turned his back on his party! I wonder now, what kind of VP he *really* would have been.

His stance on Isreal is the basis for all of his decisions, not what is in the best interest of the country. Hmmmm....we did dodge a bullet I suppose. A democratic version of a neocon in the VP's office? Ick!

3. Bush was sweating even more
After Al Gore gave this speech it reminded us all of what a real President sounds like.
He inspired and lifted up the American people, He offered us hope.
And he did this while supporting Kerry, A class act.

6. If I were Al, I would have taken off the jacket and rolled up the sleeves.
But I was impressed that despite obvious physical discomfort, his focus on the speech--on the content, the message--never wavered for a second. It took a tiny while for him to find his stride, but once he did, he was flawless.

11. 75% humidity in NYC yesterday, at least according to
the Weather Channel.

That can get you sweating even with the AC cranked up full blast. I know. I lived there for decades.

12. Remembering Kennedy/Nixon Debates
Nixon was a "sweater."

His team, and the Kennedy team, would have "thermostat wars" in the studio during the televised debates. The Nixon people would turn it way down, and the Kennedy people would turn it way up. Strange, but true.

Given my experience with how rigid institutions can be about the day they turn on their A/C or heating, I suspect that it was hot in the auditorium because the "Turn On A/C" date had not been reached yet, even though the auditorium felt like a tropical rainforest. Still -- sabotage is possible.

13. He was Sweatin' for US....Good for him! Some nice coverage of his
speech here and there. Although, I do wish he would use something smaller than that "huge hankie" he kept pulling out. :D

Gore is who he is. He has some rough edges about some things, but hey, he called to Get rid of the lot of them...Good for him!
