Go Negative !
With the Republicans, this may as well be written in stone. They have believed for some time that the best way to win an election is to bring up the negative numbers of their opponents. That is why most of George W Bush's ads about Kerry have been negative. But up to this point, they don't seem to have worked very well. They have spent a reported $70 million on ads thus far. They now must make a decision. Do they go positive or more negative? Which way do you expect them to go?

1. Negative of course...

I'm looking for them to pull out some sickening stunt about 2 weeks before the election. Kerry has a black daughter, or Kerry sold missiles to the French...some BS like that...

7. Or another terrorist attack... marital law...
Or bad voting machines... we cannot determine vote.... suspend election until the machines can be "fixed"... or...

Let's face it, if we don't keep our wits about us, we are all screwed. We still may be.

Better to hang together, for we shall surly hang separately.

3. If they try to go positive...
Edited on Thu May-27-04 11:52 AM by skypilot
...they will run out of material REAL soon.

In fact, I hope they try it. It will just give Kerry the opportunity to debunk every "positive" claim they make. Think "No Child Left Behind".

6. I think they are out of Negative material also. Now it will get generic
Nasty Liberals or Un-American Protesters. You get the picture. I think they shot their wad with Kerry. Not a lot of negative material there. I know they will just make shit up like they did with Gore but we're a little wiser now-a-days.

5. Don't have to go negative.. the facts themselves are negative enough
Kerry doesn't have to sling mud cause the junta has been wallowing in filth. He just needs to bring it to the light of day.
