News Media burying Iraq Casualty Reports - Have you noticed?
Edited on Thu May-27-04 04:50 PM by rmpalmer
A few weeks ago whenever I'd get up for the morning and turn on the news - first local radio as I showered, then CNN as I dressed I'd hear the casualties from Iraq. Now they seem to be buried (no pun intended).

I was stunned to check Lunaville today and see 5 KIA's Tuesday. 3 dead Wednesday.

What the hell is going on? Is the media covering up for AWOL's administration? Are they tired of reporting the casualties? Too busy covering the prison scandal and Asscrack's warnings?

This week:
Wednesday 3 dead
Tuesday 5 dead
Monday 2 dead
Sunday 2 dead

That's 12 this week. 70 for the month. 806 according to Lunaville, 805 according to CNN. 3rd highest month since AWOL's Carrier Strut.

Seems the damn media is forgetting the troops stuck in that hell hole AWOL sent them off to.

1. I Was Wondering .....
I was listening to yesterday's Thom Hartmann this morning and I thought he said over 800 dead and I thought, why in hell haven't I heard anything about that anywhere? What are they waiting for, the magic 1,000 number? No shit, you wait and see. There will be more media whoopla over the 1,000th death in Iraq than there is over New Year's Eve on Times Square.

2. Of course they are covering it up
Have you seen the yahoo article about Kerry's stance vs. the war?
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=2026&ncid=2026&e=2&u=/latimests/20040527/ts_latimes/kerryfeelssqueezeoniraqpolicy

Now they are circling around Kerry--Bush got too far behind...
Boss was mad...

3. Three weeks that they have been at it
Yahoo still posts it every day, and somebody posts it here every day

When he or rather I miss that, I check on Yahoo

Also Newshour still runs the names every night

And I must say, every night Bernie Ward and the ABC crew he has working for him at KGO, they do cover it every night.

But they are making us keeping track harder and harder, and on purpose
