3. He knew what he was doing
He yelled the part he wanted them to soundbite.

What pissed me off was one of the cable news shows showing a montage of all the times he wiped the sweat off his face.

It was a great speech though.

6. He was excellent - he modulated his voice throughout the speech
and absolutely yelled and growled during the important 'sound bite' part.

I wish the venue would have gotten a fan going up on stage once they saw he was perspiring and using the towel. He was still dignified and in control in spite of having to swab his face.

9. Tom Brokaw call Gore's list of people who need to resign a "hit list."
He said it with obvious malice toward Al Gore.

12. Catch the RW mantra that it was a "long speech"
It was basically the same length as State of the Union speech - but since it was a DEM they got to do a negative spin.

16. hear highlights at moveon.org
You can read a full transcript of the speech and watch a great five-minute video of the highlights at:

http://www.moveonpac.org/gore/

Al wasn't 'yelling' ... he was personifying us ... one p.o.'d Nation ... a People ... a Society ... betrayed by brats, traitors, misfits, felons, liars and thieves ... in the precise tone they needed to hear the extent of our discontent ... anger ... whatever one wishes to call it ...

How dare they blame their misdeeds on enlisted personnel from a Reserve unit in upstate New York. President Bush owes more than one apology. On the list of those he let down are the young soldiers who are themselves apparently culpable, but who were clearly put into a moral cesspool. The perpetrators as well as the victims were both placed in their relationship to one another by the policies of George W. Bush.

How dare the incompetent and willful members of this Bush/Cheney Administration humiliate our nation and our people in the eyes of the world and in the conscience of our own people. How dare they subject us to such dishonor and disgrace. How dare they drag the good name of the United States of America through the mud of Saddam Hussein's torture prison.

... and, the Bush-Cheney people heard the message delivered exactly how they should have; and, thank goodness, someone did it.

Well done, Al Gore.
