The Republicans are trying to get Kerry to go negative real bad
Edited on Thu May-27-04 07:04 PM by NNN0LHI
Kerry is smart enough not to fall for it I am sure. Not all candidates can keep their powder dry like this. They panic and fall into the trap. We seen that in Iowa. We chose the right guy to kick the Chimps ass in November. Keep fighting hard though. I want both houses of congress back too which means we need Kerry to win big. And he will.

5. The Bush Administration is self-destructing...
If Kerry goes negative it will keep voters away.

Kerry is going to look pretty tall standing next to a wicked witch who has already melted half into the floor.

"Terr'ist, terrist!"

With these words the Witch fell down in a brown, melted, shapeless mass and began to spread over the clean boards of the kitchen floor.

4. Referendum on bush
as long as the election continues to be a referendum on bush, kerry will win in a landslide ...

bush has to change the paradigm ... and at some point, the paradigm will change on its own ... but for now, i agree with Kerry's "low key, rope-a-dope" strategy ...

once the debates start, and i think they will, voters will see the election as "A" versus "B" rather than just a rating of "A" ... and that will make for a closer election than we're seeing now ...

bush is really in a bad spot ... it's all too clear that at best, he'll "survive" the debates ... and it will be very hard to lay back and point to all the good things that are happening ... even if "the economy recovers", do you really believe jobs will be plentiful before the election ?? they won't be ... and most workers have seen rapidly rising healthcare costs and very little if any pay increases since bush took office ... so, bush will not be able to do anything but spin the economy because the news for most workers is not very good ...

and foreign policy? at this point, do you really believe capturing Bin Laden would give bush a real boost? it might help him a little but I doubt it ... and there will not be any other news to help bush on foreign policy ..

so sadly, bush only has one answer to getting out of the box he's in ... and that answer requires more tinfoil than I have in the house ...
