White House Sues Self In Order to Screw Environmentalists!!
A thousand pardons...I woke up to reading this in my local newspaper, the Portland Press Hearld (Portland, ME) and in the course of the day the paper was left at my daughter's house; but was on our evening news here. I'm sorry this is so sketchy because I wanted to give you all the specific names.

The Attorney Generals of the Maine and Conneticut are pissed and asking Aschcroft (yeah, right...goddamn it, think this will get far) to investigate the Bush White House. Apparently there was an environmental report related to our continuing presence in universal treaties concerning what is going on with the environment. The Bush regime, they say, arranged for a D.C. ultra-conservative think "tank" (one of their Nazi brotherhood) to sue the White House/government on the issue so that the report would be declared "faulty shit" and thus get us out of honoring the treaty. Now, folks, two state AG's don't do this just on a whim....and, of course, the WH response is "utter nonesense". These fucking bastards are the most dangerous garbage that has ever attacked this country and planet earth....unbelievable!!! If any you can link to this story, please post it. It was said in the article that we are dealing here with literal illegalities---haha, when did that ever stop this criminal regime. Hell, they send kids to their death just for the sport of it.

1. Here's the article, starpass
AUGUSTA, Maine - Attorneys general in two New England states suggested Monday that the White House is behind a lawsuit that seeks to invalidate a federal report on global warming.

Maine Attorney General G. Steven Rowe and Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, both Democrats, also asked U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft for an investigation.

Rowe and Blumenthal said they want to know whether White House officials working at the Council on Environmental Quality solicited a lawsuit filed by a conservative Washington think tank to discredit a 2000 report that documents the dangers of global warming.

The lawsuit was filed last week by the Competitive Enterprise Institute against the White House Office on Science and Technology.

3. And to think, they used to moan about those kinds of "friendly suits"
when pro-environment groups would sue the (elected) Clinton White House.

Hypocrites. :grr:
