Update:

As of today, all soldiers assigned to my unit are subject to "stop loss" and our status has been change to mobilization alert.

For OPSEC reasons, I can say no more.

However, I was looking forward to that beer and those pork ribs on the 4th of July. Too bad that I am now on a diet that won't allow me to have those things on that holiday.

I will be relying on all of you to carry on in my place while I am away and not to let the Halliburton protestors win this battle.

My battle will be on another front very soon.
