Another attempt to control the media?

I just got this e-mail from XM Satellite radio:

XM Subscriber,

XM needs your help now. Satellite radio is under attack. The National
Association of Broadcasters (NAB), the group that represents the large radio and
television owners, is using its lobbyists, campaign contributions and political
influence to stifle competition and stop XM from offering traffic and weather
information and other valuable services to listeners like you. NAB is trying to
limit XM’s first amendment rights!

XM needs you to contact the FCC and your Members of Congress to tell them that
you support satellite radio. Visit http://grassroots.xmradio.com to learn more
about the threat, and how you can respond by easily contacting the FCC and your
lawmakers in Washington, DC.

Probably trying to shut them down for carrying AAR is my guess.

I hope their listeners take action on this. It looks like the big corporate interests are really taking advantage of this "friendly" misadministration to ensure their monopolies in every niche. And yes, I'm sure killing AAR is all a part of the plan! :grr:
