Help waste Kerry's war chest by click a link!

Google has a system of paid advertising which charges its customers for every time a link is clicked on. On the right hand side of the Google results screen is a list of links that someone has paid for. A customer puts a certain amount of money into their Google account and puts the key words into the system that they are willing to pay for. Then every time someone clicks on the link a little bit of money is deducted from their account.

Sooooooooooo anyway:

If you do a search for Kerry at Google a paid link appears at the right titled "John Kerry for President " - Click away my freeper friends and chink away at his war chest.

snip

Is that claim true? Can we do the same for Bush?

edited for link

2. Freepers are juvenile scum
But I'm sure people at the Bush sites would find a way to punish you.

3. I don't think so
I read an article the other day somewhere that said the Bush campaign hasn't bought any Google keywords.

In any case, clicking a keyword ad is hardly going to drain anyone's bank account. They cost about five cents per click and Google allows you to control a lot of parameters, including a daily maximum expenditure. I believe you're also only charged once per IP address so anyone thinking that they can dent Kerry's war chest by clicking over and over again is wasting their time.

4. shhh- don't tell them
let the morAnic freaks waste their time, clog their servers - maybe some of them will actually take a moment to look at his platform and realize there is someone who actually believes in the American we promise the rest of the world.

6. Thanks for clearing that up.
I thought this is costing Kerry big $$$.

Now it is just fun to imagine all those freepers wasting all their time with that BS. And all the money they have to spend for their Carpal Tunnel treatments.

I think I should stay away from their website anyway. It takes me way too long to disinfect my computer after each visit.

8. No, they really do pay for each click
Belief me, thats how its working. Each click costs kerry $5 or $10 dollars. And if you click 45 times in a row, it start to double charge him.

And what is really weird (and I have this from a friend who works for RUSH) if you donate money through one of those clicks, and have the last amount be .37 -- then it turns into a debit on your credit card. SO if you donate 100.37 to kerry through one of those click ads, you actually make 100 buck.

But don't let the guys on Free Republic know about this, or they'll break his bank in a day!

9. it costs, but not that much
You can go to Google yourself and look at the terms, under "See your message here". It costs between five cents and fifty cents.

In no case does it cost $5 to $10 per click. No one in their right mind would pay that.

7. The campaign sets a spending limit for each advertising area...
plus, Google sends crawlers out every 24 hours to check for illegal spamming of clicks. Google makes a lot more money in punitive damages than it does from ad clicks!

Freepers are truly stupid.
