Before commenting upon Susan Sontag's latest effluence in The New York Times magazine, please find my comment on this silly person in March 2004 in a discussion of Greek anti-Semitism and media coverage of September 11:
Put otherwise, when terrorists attack the US, this is regrettable, but the US "had it coming." When the US strikes back at the terrorists, that is "aggression." (It's the same with intellectuals: when we criticise Susan Sontag, that is censorship. When she tells the rest of us we are fools, that is freedom of speech).

Vile, repulsive pictures of prisoner abuse. The footage is sickening and gets worse, so beware. This footage was on al-Arabiyya, the UAE based rival to al-Jazeera. You can be sure that these pictures will not be endlessly replayed on CNN. We await Susan Sontag's profound analysis with baited breath.
