Ever since reading Bob Woodward's description (in Plan of Attack) of an unusual event in which Bush suddenly

"began speaking as though in a foreign language" and "looking confused "

I've wondered if Mr. Bush suffers from temporal lobe epilepsy.

I'm through 3/4's of it and I sure haven't found it yet. I think that's a myth that it's in Woodward book that for some reason is spreading on DU.

I am at about the same point as you and feared I had missed it.

I find myself wanting to throw it across the room every 3 pages. Woodward's writing is annoying and childish. The neocons truly are dumber than a box of rocks. I'm on page 147 and all I've figured out so far is that it's true, Bush wanted to go to war, so we did. 147 pages and I think WMD might have been mentioned 3 times.

One thing though, I'm intrigued by the 90-45-90 plan. Because the final phase of the war was supposed to be to rotate in 200,000 or more troops. At least so far in the book, unless they changed it later. But so far, it looks like Franks was saying they would need a large force to keep security after the initial "regime change".

I remember Meyers saying right around statue toppling time that having more troops go in was part of the plan. During the looting. At the time, they were taking alot of heat for it and accused of being bumblers, etc. That is the last we ever heard of more troops going into Iraq.

Now, reading this book, I wonder if maybe there really WAS a plan for more troops right away, but they caved to political pressure instead of carrying out Franks' original plan.

But I don't know because I'm having a horrible time getting through this to find out whether they changed the plan from 90-45-90 or not.

i find that hard to believe. that he said that. out loud. and that it will happen. within 15 years. or ever.
