Patriotic Parade Organizer Under Fire For His Past

A huge event is being held in downtown Albuquerque on Thursday night in support of U.S. troops.

The organizer claims it's backed by businesses, police, firefighters and the military, but Action 7 News has learned that's not the case.

The guy behind it all admits he has a criminal past.

The event is supposed to take the form of a huge parade called "Support Our Soldiers," and on one of the fliers, it says KOAT is a VIP guest. That was news to us, and to several other businesses and supposed backers.
