has Lieberman endorsed Schwarzenneger yet?
if not, I'd imagine it's only a matter of time.

8. I was thinking the very same thing
as a Jew, I find Lieberman especially repugnant.

hopefully he'll find himself celebrating a nice, long Shabbat soon.

15. why's that?
I'm ashamed of Joe for pushing his Judaism like some kinda commodity.

nobody voted him representative of American Jews, yet he seems to fancy himself just that.

17. I Don't See Him Saying That
I see him emphasizing his hawkish, centrist policies which are pretty lame.

I don't see him playing up his Jewish background, nor do I see him claiming to speak on behalf of all Jews.

And I definitely don't see him selling out Anne Frank in some kind of sick, race-traitor, Nazi collaborator way that the previous poster was disgustingly trying to state.

Ooh, a Jew sentencing another Jew to death. God, what a knee-slapper.

If you backpedaled any harder, you'd put your balls into your abdomen.

4. Lieberman has enthusiastically endorsed Lt. Governor Cruz Bustamante
Bustamante is the Chair of the Lieberman California campaign, and he has publicly endorsed Holy Joe for Prez.

I don't care about that, as much as I care getting Bustamante in after Davis is kicked out of office as all polls seem to indicate (40% of Democrats are voting to oust Davis!).

6. 40% of Democrats or 40% of Democrats likely to vote in the recall?
big difference.

9. NBC News Survey
Nearly three-quarters of the 510 registered voters surveyed, 72 percent, felt that the state was headed down the wrong track. Fifty-nine percent said they would vote to make Davis the first U.S. governor to be recalled from office in 82 years.

SCHWARZENEGGER VS. BUSTAMANTE

The poll reflected the high passions the recall movement has sparked. A remarkable 78 percent said they intended to vote, far above the turnout of 45 percent in the election that returned Davis to office last year.

DAVIS IN THE DUMPS

While the poll numbers may give replacement candidates much to work with, for Davis they were all dismal.

Sixty-four percent said they had a somewhat or very negative opinion of the governor, compared with only 22 percent who said they felt somewhat or very favorable. A mere 15 percent thought the state was on the right track under Davis’ guidance, and only 35 percent opposed the recall initiative.
Even 40 percent of Democrats said they would vote to recall him.

10. 510 is a small sample size in relation to the voting population in Cali
and again, it's registered voters, not registered voters likely to vote in the recall.

the 2002 election (in Cali) had the lowest voter turnout rate since 1918, and by all estimates the turnout rate for the recall election will be even lower.

all that being said, this poll is just about as close to unscientific as a scientific poll can be.

11. I believe you are whistling past the graveyard
but if you want to believe that Davis is not yet DOA, much less in rigor mortis as I think he is, go right on believing that.

I'm just saying that polls like this are as unscientific as a scientific poll can be.

27. Reuters story quoting Lieberman on Fox News
Senator Urges Californians to Reject Recall
Sun August 10, 2003 10:28 AM ET

Feinstein, however, ridiculed Bustamante's decision to add his name to the ballot.

"I assume what the lieutenant governor is going to do is say, 'vote no on the recall but vote yes for me as well.' Maybe he can do that. I would have a hard time doing that," she said.

But Sen. Joseph Lieberman, a Connecticut Democrat and presidential candidate, said while voters "ought to vote against the recall, Cruz has shown guts in offering himself as a much better alternative if Gray Davis is recalled."

"I think the people of California deserve more of a choice than Arnold Schwarzenegger and Larry Flynt," Lieberman told Fox.
