Does Mistuh KURTZ Lead w/NYT Culpa? Nawww, w/the KERRY Women

This media "critic" spent the first half of the program on Teresa KERRY being "a lightening rod". The 3-headed panel went over how she had shot her mouth off, then been kept under wraps for 6 months, then has been let to re-emerge----but SURPRISE, she STILL speaks her MIND!!!! AND she's interesting, AND she *already* does what First Ladies do (runs programs on her own), and on and on...

Then, because CNN is ALSO Fare-UNbalanced, there was the obligatory "equal" time about Pickles: 30-seconds' worth. Then back to Teresa for another 5 mintues, then on to the Shrubbette twins for 30 seconds, then---to the KERRY daughter's SCANDALOUS dress at Cannes.

Mistah KURTZ pondered with wrinkled brow over WHY OH WHY is "the press" SO hooked on the KERRY women as opposed to the Shrubbettes. Clues, Howie: Because they are ACCOMPLISHED, INTELLIGENT, CLASSY, and INDEPENDENT INDIVIDUALS?????? Could THAT be it?????

By now, more than half of the program was over, so Mistah KURTZ had no choice but to go to that NON-story, how the NYT and Judith MILLER cooked the Iraq Attack.

The Pew poll that supposedly proves the media is Lib. His opening to that was a wingnut jewel in itself: "For you out there--and you know who you are--who are always complaining about how Liberal the media is-----------you might BE RIGHT!"

This would be the poll that has 39% of the media as Libs, the largest number being "Moderates" and 7% as WINGNUT. Well, I say, all 7% must be on the media air.

I was embarrassed for the so-called reporters. They sounded like National Enquirer tabloid hacks giggling delightedly about Kerry's daughter's dress at Cannes. I actually think I heard one of them call it the "headlights" dress. :eyes:

I also noted that when Kurtz asked if the Bush girls were fair game now that they have graduated from college and have jobs for the fall, the panel quickly changed the subject. Hell, no, they're not going to be writing any hit pieces on the Bush twins! They know what would happen to them if they did!

The first words out of his mouth were something like 'Are the candidates wives receiving the same treatment from the press? Laura Bush and the CONTROVERSIAL Teresa Heinz." It got worse from there. I turned the TV off.

"Teresa Heinz is news because she has five homes"? what a crock of shit.
