Nancy Sinatra...Damaged goods!
Edited on Sun May-30-04 08:31 PM by God_bush_n_cheney
" Bush shook hands with Artie Muller, president of the veterans' advocacy group, and kissed Muller's rider, singer Nancy Sinatra, a veterans' supporter, who was dressed in a skirt, cowboy boots and a pair of dark shades."

Reminds me of a song she sang.

"You keep lying when you outta be truthing...."

17. All better now...
I live in a town so small(actually five miles outside the town)that if I gave the name of it here, the freepers would find me in a heartbeat. I feel safe enough saying I live within 40 miles of Abilene, though!
:hi:

21. I'll bet the water's looks blue instead of brown too.
I took my wife up to New Hampshire with me and she said, "It's so green! Why's it so green? It looks like a picture!"
I told her to ask me again in a couple of weeks if she hadn't spotted the difference by then. She caught on.
I loved being back for a while where five days without rain is a long "dry spell".

4. Funny
I saw a post here recently which implied that Nancy Sinatra was a Dem supporter, but it didn't come up in the search.

Anyone remember?

16. Was it Nancy who sang that James Bond theme song?
"You only live twice...or so it seems...one life for yourself and one for your dreams..."

Sounds to me like she just sacrificed one life.

20. Poor Nancy...I can't help having a soft spot in my heart
for her. We used to love to listen to "These Boots Were Made for Walkin'" and we'd sing "Strangers in the Night" on the way to the bordello(s) in Vietnam. Now she's mutilated herself beyond recognition. What a pity.

22. Hey, don't knock Nancy Sinatra
Not only is her These Boots Are Made For Walking a great classic, but I saw somewhere that she supports Democrats. Am I mistaken?

25. I think she's a Democrat.
Maybe they are just dropping her name because she was in the area.

Here is an excerpt from an in 2000:

SINATRA: It's very in and very pretty, and I feel very safe and secure that my daughter is there. And my other kid, of course, in Washington -- with the Democrats in office, I'm fine with that. If that changes, I don't know.

KING: Did you argue with your father politically?

SINATRA: Oh, yes, of course.

KING: Because he was a big Democrat when you were growing.

SINATRA: He was still a registered Democrat, even when he was supporting Reagan and Nixon.

KING: Which had to bother the Sinatra clan.

SINATRA: But he loved President Clinton.

KING: He did like President Clinton?

SINATRA: Yes, yes.

KING: And your mother -- or you grandmother was the No. 1 Democratic of all time, right?

SINATRA: Grandma Dolly, absolutely.

KING: She ran a Democratic machine in New Jersey.

SINATRA: She did. She was tough. But she was like a ward healer or something. You know, one of those people that sits in the window and waits for people to come and complain.

She has a daughter working for the Democrats in D.C. It sounds like everyone in the Sinatra "clan" were Dems, and that Frank strayed to support Nixon and Reagan. Of course this is pre-9/11 and as we all know that single event drove so many people crazy and bloodthirsty that it swelled the Republican base exponentially.
