I will never understand (Kerry war record vs Shrub's)

After reading the Post's article on "Rolling Thunder" this morning I still wonder why a Vietnam Vet would be MORE offended by Kerry's protesting than by Shrub's non-service AWOL record! It makes no sense to me! I can usually understand RW stands (I disagree and think they are idiotic but I 'get' it), but this one still baffles me to no end.

(not asking for insight, just venting!!!!!!!!!!)

Venting too, I can't understand it either. Why would someone vote against their own self interest unless it was for the greater good of the the people /country? It's readily apparent to anyone that pays the slightest attention that a vote for shrub is not a vote for the greater good of anyone but the bfee. This makes me wonder who these people really are, are they real veterans? A lot of rich repugs ride bikes too. Makes me feel like banging my head on a wall.

Most with such a record would be behind bars for 20 years.

As a WWII Veteran I resent with much bitterness his appearance to honor our veterans.
