I am listening to Franken suck up to McCain while McCain sucks up to Bush

Al says about Iraq: We own it. We have to stay the course.
Oh, yeah. I hate that line. I first heard it from Tom Brokaw on the day we did our Shock and Awe.

Et tu, Franken? What the hell do we need you for? To quote David Brooks?

Apparently, if we want to hear the truth, only Gore will give it to us.

McCain is shilling for Bush. Says we need a democratic government in Iraq. Right. And that if Saddam had WMD he would have used it against us. But he didn't have it. Bush Lied, John. And our soldiers died or lost their limbs or got Depleted Uranium in their bones for life. As did the 50,000 Iraqis since Shock and Awe and the hundreds of thousands since the Gulf War.

And McCain said this about Viet Nam: the Vietnamese people were divided. It was Good (USA) vs. Evil (Communism).

Bull. It was a Civil War. They wanted their popular leader, Communist Ho Chi Minh, who defeated the French at Dien Bien Phu, to unite them. But, no.... We supported the fascist Diem and his corrupt family. He was our puppet. Our Chalabi. Our drug trafficker.

Oh, Pigboy must be laughing his boil off.

1. It's sad.
McCain needs to leave the Republican Party and run as a moderate Dem. Then I will have use for him.

3. I think that
it's a rerun, so they thought it was good enough the
first time to run it again.

Odd.

4. Franken isn't nearly as liberal as people like to think and he has
been doing a good job of giving a "human" face the the rethugs. They need to stop giving press to the rethugs, my guess is that their advertisers are changing the focus of the programing. I believe just like every other media they will soon be shilling for the shrub as Franken is today. It's not about ideas and democracy it's about money and fame, damn I hate to think how people expected the "new" network to be different. Just look at it, it advertises for the army recruiters and other Nazi whores it makes a point to show how fair they are to the "opposition" and now open shilling for the shrub. Face it folks it's over we are living in the fourth Reich.

"because Bush can't be bothered to think about Mexico for an hour a week", he cut them off when they opposed Iraq.

7. Franken is not a shill
I listen to almost all of O'Franken's show every day and I have never heard him shill for Bush. Just because he doesn't want to "cut and run" doesn't make him a shill. I'll admit that he's not nearly as left as, say, Kucinich, but I don't think his show would have lasted a week if he was. He's definately a Clinton democrat, and I think that's a good thing.

12. Franken -> McCain -> Bush
I thought you were inferring that since McCain was shilling for Bush, and Franken as sucking up to McCain, that Franken was shilling for Bush.

Sorry if I took it the wrong way.

Some people on DU, just as over at Freeperville are just down right daffy in their personal compasses.

The people who call Al Franken and John Kerry conservatives are no more or less idiotic than the freepers who call Bill O'Reilly and John McCain liberals

Although of course since John McCain is an open-minded, funny, charismatic hero, and Bill O'Reilly is a blowhard prick, they like O'Reilly way more. The freepers that is.
