And What About Those Other Little Firearm Laws (Saddam's pistol)?
See previous post for more about President Bush's ownership of Saddam Hussein's handgun - a gift from the troops, allegedly. Exactly how may laws, federal and D.C., might the President be breaking with his possession of that firearm? Did he receive a background check for the transfer of ownership? Is Bush licensed to possess a firearm in a federal facility? The District of Columbia prohibits firearms to be gifts. How many people are implicated in Bush's firearm possession?

And, of course, ignorance of the law does not excuse the potential crimes.

1. One would hope any firearm given to the shrub* has been rendered
inoperable, you know, like the launch codes (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) that military officer carries around for him.

2. Or wouldn't the gun be a historical artifact?
(another DUer said that in a different post)

Given that * told the troops not to interfere when the looting started after we invaded, it makes sense he's not going to follow any laws or civil codes...

3. yes it would
there is no difference between some kings sword or dagger and Saddam`s gun. plus it`s the possession of the people of Iraq not the presidents or the people of the united states. but these are the people who gave the green light on the looting of the muesums..have to pay off those wealthy donors...
