Robert Reich for v.p. or campaign adviser?
Listening to him on rerun of "O'Franken Factor," I'm reminded of how much I love this guy. He's bright, funny, entertaining -- and really knows his stuff. He's talking about his book, "Reason," about liberals winning back the country.

OK. I'd love to see him as v.p., but the comics would have a field day with him standing next to "Stretch" Kerry. He'd be great on the stump, though. But he has a lot of good ideas about how the Dems. can get our party organized and win back the hearts and minds. Perhaps he could be a top campaign adviser to Kerry.

Has anyone read his latest book? What does everyone think?

1. campaign adviser
he sounds like a great guy but it cant work legally speaking, you cant have a President and a VP from the state well legally, Cheney lived in Texas during 2000 supposely.

2. Oh, HELL YEAH!
I've been promoting Reich as a VP candidate among a local group of friends, but I thought I might be the only one. Yes! Reich has a sharp mind, he's a true liberal, he's got a great resume, and he knows how to debate on the facts. He'd be superb. Do you think there's a chance?

5. Dr. Reich is one of America's most brilliant thinkers.
There is no way that a mind like his could appeal to a constituency as stupid as is present in America. Further, his shortness would make the ticket vulnerable to malicious, but irrelevant criticism.

I would love to see him elected as President. He would do a fabulous job.

6. Unfortunately true
Just look at what the media did to poor Denis Kucininch... You couldn't read an article on him that didn't mention his height within the first few lines.

People are actually quite judgemental about height (if only subconsciously) and I fear that putting someone that short on the ticket would be incredibly damadging. Which is unfortunate for reasons to obvious to mention...

7. He's another Massachusetts resident. Aint going to happen

I did work on his primary campaign for governor, it just shows how illogical the dem primary electorate is in MA that they chose Shannon friggin O'Brien over him. Reich would have trounced Romney.

But him and Tollman split the free-thinking vote, and O'Brien grabbed up the sheeple dem vote

BTW he already is a campaign advisor. he helped write JK's economic plan

10. He would look silly side by side with Kerry.
Robert Reich, God love him, is a good guy, but he's an incredibly short man, and it's just funny to think of him standing side by side on stage with the tall and slender Kerry.
