'Cause it appears that Mr Campbell may have decided not to run for re-election for purposes other than those stated??

1. Let's see, he ran as a Democrat,
played the "poor Indian" race card, then switched parties to become a right wing thug.

Yeah, I'd say he set the sort of standard for honesty that bears investigation somewhere.

7. I had the misfortune of sitting next to him on a plane once
and stupidly asked him why he switched parties (as if I didn't know the answer), and he practically told me to fuck off. He's awful, and everyone who lives around here and is not a Republican and/or a good ol' boy knows it.

If you thought Governor B.O. was icky and scary, wait 'til this crabby old do-nothing constituent-avoiding good ol' boy from hell becomes governor.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MONDAY, APRIL 26, 2004
Contact: Robert Weiner, former White House Drug Office Spokesman

INVESTIGATION OF DRUG CZAR CALLED FOR
IN POTENTIAL BRIBERY AND BLACKMAIL CASE

<snip>

(Washington, DC)—The head of the White House Counterdrug Technology Center, Dr. Al Brandenstein, who fought against apparent bribery and blackmail in the White House Drug Policy Office involved in a no-bid contract arranged at a powerful U.S. Senator’s request (Ben Nighthorse Campbell, R-CO), "deserves a heroic medal and award, not being pushed out of government," asserts the White House Drug Policy Office former spokesman, Robert Weiner.

It's surprising how little info there is on this. Perhaps Dr. Brandenstein will write a book. I'd like to know, for example, how many Colorado firms went after this no-bid contract but forgot to pay the Frighthorse. No idea who Robert Weiner is, except he appears to be some kind of media consultant and a possible Democrat.
