AWD campaign announcement

(also posted in Politics/Campaigns...I wanted to reach a larger audience in GD, so forgive the 2nd posting)

I've set my schedule and made a few decisions, and I wanted to alert everybody to it all.

First, there will be an online fundraiser for my campaign September 1st and 2nd. Please, if you can, set a few bucks aside for my campaign, and help me get off to a nice big start. You know I won't forget you when I'm on the House floor ;-)

So, here's the official schedule for my announcement on Labor Day.

September 1st

Morning - I will be attending a Bush protest. He'll be in Richfield giving a speech on the economy (BIG mistake....Richfield has high unemployment and is in trouble). I'll be there protesting.

3pm - Press conference and official announcement. Location TBA, but my speech (text and MP3 format) and hopefully a video will be made available.

5 pm - Online fundraiser begins. I'll kick it off on DU, and people can donate by going straight to PayPal.com, or through my website (which will be launched earlier in the week).

The fundraiser will be 24 hours, and will end at 5pm on September 2nd.

So be ready for it. As always, I'm grateful for any advice you can offer. Any help you can provide along the campaign will also be appreciated. I've already been given so much help and DUers have already financially contributed. I can't begin to describe what that means to me.

For the purpose of disruptors and eeper-frays, I will send you a private message with my addy. Until I get a PO Box, it's the safest way to go.

Any DU that's running for office is worthy of a contribution, you bet.

C'mon, I wanna send money and feel like one of the Big Boys! Can I order you around if you win, and make you introduce legislation near and dear to my heart? Or are you gonna be one of those "conscience" type legislators, working for the greatest public good and all that touchie-feelie stuff?
