I kicked some right wing radio ass!!!
On Saturday I was driving from S.F. to Palm Springs (114 degrees on Sunday) and had to pass thru Bakersfield. The local right-wing radio, KGET or KGTE, whatever, was being hosted by Gene somebody-or-other, and this guy was doing the usual Clinton this, Clinton that, routine. They gave out the number to call in, so I figured, "why not". I dialed the number, a lady answered, and when she asked me what I wanted to talk about, I said "All the reasons to hate Clinton". I was 3rd in line, and when I was put through, Gene asked me what I wanted to talk about, so, borrowing from Bartcop, I said "What is it about Clinton that has all you right wingers in such an uproar? Was it the 8 years of peace, or the 8 years of prosperity?" He replied, "Well, I guess it's the abuse and disrespect of the White House that has me upset". I said "Oh, you mean the Lincoln bedroom thing?" Gene replied to the affirmative, so I went on the explain how it has been proven that Clinton never used the Lincoln bedroom to raise money, but that George Dubya liked the idea so much that he HAS been using it for that very purpose. Gene said that Dubya hasn't been using it to raise campaign funds, and what sort of 'proof' did I have that Clinton was innocent? I explained to him that the Washington Times had retracted the story 2 weeks after running it, and isn't it funny how Rush Limbaugh and his kind, people like yourself, Gene, either didn't read that part of it, or just don't want to talk about it? Silence. Then "Well, uh, I, ummm, I knew the Clinton family back in Arkansas, um, long before Bill Clinton became president, and... ummmm... we have to take a break now... !click!

These people are SOOOO easy to beat up! It's just too much fun. ;-)

13. I've done that alot too.
Once called up a right-wing Christian station. KPDQ in Portland OR

Actually several times.

Once, during the Clinton thing, I explained how Larry Flynt was more moral than Ken Starr (both being pornographers, at least Flynt was an honest one.)

Another time, the same host had a fundie apologist on. I called up, and they went into the "where did you come from?" gambit. I noted that my parents had been intimate some forty-odd years ago. They tried to go further, but that about derailed their whole train...

The trick is to be polite, and to let THEM go off and be crazy.
