Two Attorney Generals are asking questions

Blumenthal accuses White House of initiating a Global Warming lawsuit

http://www.wfsb.com/Global/story.asp?S=1398495

-snip-

Maine Attorney General Steven Rowe and Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, both Democrats, are asking U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft for an investigation.

They want to know whether White House officials working at the Council on Environmental Quality solicited a lawsuit filed by a conservative Washington think tank to discredit a 2000 report that documents the dangers of global warming.

-snip-

Blumenthal says what appears to be a secret initiative by the administration to invite and orchestrate a lawsuit against itself to discredit the report would constitute improper and possibly illegal conduct.

thank you Rowe and Blumenthal

1. Of course, asking A$$croft to investigate Bu$h
Edited on Wed Aug-13-03 12:51 PM by tom_paine
will have the same results (minus the executions of those who asked for the investigation) as asking Himmler and the SS to investigate the Fuehrer.

Same as the Bushevik Anthrax Assassin, who shall always remain free, likely part of the Bushevik ex-spook "private army" they have.

What a Stalinist joke! Hey, at least Rowe and Blumenthal won't be sent to Karagranda or Vorkuta, right?

Who says humanity doesn't make any progress?

2. I always thought that
Stacking the Courts was/is more about corporate protection than about overturning Roe v. Wade or ending Civil Liberties. Get a "fake" group to file a law suit in a Court where you have planted a favorable judge and "presto" - problem goes away!
