BBV: Television exposure in Georgia
Edited on Wed Aug-13-03 06:18 PM by DEMActivist
On Friday, Garrett Michael Hayes, 2002 Libertarian Candidate for Governor will be in Macon, taping a half hour show with Randal Savage on WMAZ-TV 13 (the CBS affiliate in Macon). Mr. Savage was the moderator for the first Gubernatorial debate last year, down in
Perry, Georgia.

The segment will broadcast Saturday, and the whole half hour will be about Electronic Voting Machines.

BlackBoxVoting.org has asked Mr. Hayes to get a copy of the tape so we can provide it for everyone via the website after the show airs.

Thanks to the Libertarian Party in Georgia, we are really turning up the heat on these folks!!!!

Still, we voters should be able to trust that our voting process is secure and reliable. These kinds of questions give those who don't vote just one more excuse. Political leaders should address remaining problems as quickly as possible. Voting is not only a responsibility, it is a right. That right must be protected.

5. DemA......you've got the Southern Libertarians on your side! Great Going!
That's a good one......There are many here in Raleigh. If we could just turn them...but they may "turn" on their own given the pressure over job losses in the State.

Good Luck....sounds like you've made so much progress......for all your hard work!

6. KoKo -- we don't need to "turn them" to get their NON-PARTISAN
participation in going after the electronic voting machine issue.

Why not see if you can turn your local Libertarians onto what Georgia is doing? We've GOT to get this problem solved or we needn't bother to root for Dean or anyone else. And if CA goes to Arnold, we'll absolutely, positively LOSE California to the Repugs in 2004, no matter what.

As I see it, they can be far more helpful to us right now as LIbertarians than as Dems.

7. Well said Eloriel
Remember these people when you go to the polls. It may very well be Libertarians, Greens, WHOEVER, are among the first into the fight for honest voting.

We've got Republicans and Democrats in the fray too, but the big machines are still idling. The bigger the organization, the more people who will sit on the fence and wait to see which way the wind blows.

I give the smaller parties their due and I'll remember these people in elections the next time around.

I believe by 2004, everyone will work to get Bush OUT.

Let's help everybody fix our voting system!

Grass roots movements all over, from all walks, from all sides. We'll remember it's a combined effort.

8. It was a pair of Southern Greens....
who brought me into this issue kicking and screaming.

Frankly, my experience has been that it is the minor parties who show concern about this issue. The Democrats in Georgia are still running scared at the mere mention of the words.
