This is the only "religious" show I watch, partly because, without cable, it is usually the most interesting thing on at that time of night.

A few weeks ago, Van Impe was asking viewers to pray for him to give good advice to bush for his mideast "plan."

Van Impe is the one who, on almost every show of his I've seen, goes on and on about how the Bible mandates, in prophecy, that Armageddon will be seen in our lifetime, and it will include the revived Roman Empire (the EU), and that all nations, Russia singled out many times, would move against Israel, and that as the world is plunged into chaos and misery, Christians should rejoice because the return of the Lord will be imminent.

If that's what he believes, that's fine with me, but he is now advising the crusading moron with an itchy finger and nukes galore on how to impose the will of the Israeli government, er, I mean the will of the US government, on that region. This cannot end well.

Any idea how to get this out of the gossip column and onto the front pages?

I doubt seriously that the great middle America will want their fearless leader promoting the end of time.

As someone else alrady said in this thread nothing is too outrageous for them to get away with & they'll probably get away with this too.

How else can you explain it? It doesn't make any sense no matter how much what VAn Impe says falls in line with their beliefs on the mid east?
