Bush down to 55 percent in CBS poll
http://www.pollingreport.com/BushJob.htm

I posted this as kind of a pick-me-up after that ABC/Wash. Post poll showed Chimpy at 59 percent. I noted in another thread that the Post polls tend to run 4-5 points higher than most others. The CBS polls, OTOH, are pretty much in the middle. This confirms that.

1. The lower the number...
the happier I am... I see no reason why we can't get this down to the 30s or perhaps even lower by 2004. And actually, that is something that will likely occur NATURALLY.

3. 55%
I suppose that's good news. But when you realize all the goddamn bullshit that has been thrown at our country in the past 2 and a half years and realize this drooling idiot who we are to call President still has a majority approval rating, it is sad.
Imagine the media coverage had this been a Dem president overseeing this economy, this secrecy, these insider connections, etc etc.
And you still hear cries of "liberal media" from all the gap-toothed jackasses that inhabit this country.

but what will happen if they find Saddam? And miraculously "find" WMD? Won't that bump up his fraudulency's numbers?

8. why should finding saddam
make anyone like * better. It's the troops doing the work, not him. This is something I can never understand from Sean Hannity. He is constantly hounding his guests to congratulate the president for things that are questionable in relation to their esteem and that he has little to no involvement in directly.

12. Junior thinks he's god, and so do many others
Anything that goes wrong had nothing to do with him. Anything that goes well is the result of his genius and leadership.

11. I agree -- but I think.
Do the American people think? I'm cynical tonight, so I'm gonna vote no on that one. Or should I say, they won't be able to think once KKKarl Rove gets done spinning it the story of our brave *. We know better, but where else are people hearing the other side? I don't hear the AWOL stuff on networks.

10. FOX, ABC/WPost, CBS/NYT, and Gallup show the most Bushbias.
Edited on Wed Aug-13-03 11:01 PM by TahitiNut
Those four (followed by NBC/WSJ and Newsweek), in that order, have shown the most consistent bias towards "approval" of the Little Fuhrer.

CBS, then, is not in the "middle" but is right up there with the rest, particularly in underpolling "disapproval."

http://www.pollkatz.homestead.com/files/favorability.htm

I suppose it's worth noting that the polls showing the most Bushbias are usually taken of between 750-1000 "adults" rather than "registered voters" or (better) "likely voters". Zogby, one of least Bushbiased, usually polls "likely voters"". In July, Zogby polled a 57%-42% favorable/unfavorable for BushJr, the highest negatives yet. I can only guess that August, if polled, will show an even greater shift, possibly to 53%-47% (my guess).
