Kucinich for minority leader!
Isn't it about time we had a real Democrat leading the charge in the House? The existing leadership loses over and over and over again, and Dennis would be a refreshing change.

Given Dennis doesn't win the presidential nomination, do you think we should make a grassroots push to shake up the leadership in the House? And has Kucinich earned enough respect and trust for the job? Why or why not?

1. Why do you think we can't take back the House?

A lot of us support DK, and most of those who don't acknowledge he is a good man. Some on here bash other candidates, but most spread viable information, whether pro or con, to help spread needed information. I hope you fall in the latter category.

Once again, welcome.

4. Thank you for the welcome silverlib
I read the DU regularly (probably too regularly) because I
appreciate both the enthusiasm given to the 10 (I count
General Clark), and the humor I find here.

As a rule, I do not like large field primary elections, as I
think they detract from the message and gives the press the
opportunity to poo poo the party. BUT, If we can all take
that spirit we show for one to the general election, then
perhaps it will be a good thing. Unfortunately I do not see
that really happening.

Some of the 10, I think should be doing a "Kennedy
56" by focusing on the Democratic message to position
themselves for a try in 08. I would include your man in that
category, along with the good Senator from North Carolina.

Most of the rest, I do not think would have a snow balls
chance come November 04, and I wish I was seeing the message
instead of the candidates and the money geared to beating this
GodAwful bunch that reside in the White House.

5. I would love to do this!
How would a grass-roots effort get us a minority leader we like? I am not familiar with that particular process of picking congressional leaders?
