3. I Have Been Astounded
that an adopted person be SO dissed throughout this whole CIRCUS.

I detest Michael as a wingnut. However, an adoptee is supposed to be wanted. Nancy (Ann whatever her real name is) TRAUMATIZED all of these people. Yeah, I know Michael was adopted by Jane WYMAN, o.k.?

6. I'm trying to decide if you are serious or joking.
Ron and Patty are her children. Why would they not be sitting on either side of her, holding her hand. At the Library just now Michael was sitting beside Ron's wife in the front row. I didn't see anything out of the way with the seating arrangement.

I did not watch the service at the Cathedral this morning so I can not comment on those arrangements.

7. I'm Not Joking
1. I've watched this crap all the way.

2. Nancy ostracized the WYMAN children from Day 1.

3. Supposedly, in these current ceremonies the way-past family difficulties are OVER.

4. I detest Michael's rampant wingnutism.

5. Yet, I empathize seeing a "family" member being seated IN THE BACK (like Rosa PARKS), and Nancy walking holding hands with HER two children

O.K., waiting for the next assault, will ANSWER.

8. I surely didn't mean to assault you. I really didn't know if you were
being sarcastic.

At the internment ceremony Michael was not in the back. In the front row from right to left was Patty, Nancy, Ron, Ron's wife, and Michael. I think Michael's wife was next to him but I am not sure.

Michael has his wife and his two children but Nancy only has her children. You see something wrong with her holding hands with them ? I don't see where it has anything to do with Michael being adopted.

10. Nancy Was Vicious When She Married RAYGUN
She ostracized the children from the first marriage. That was then. She might be a different human today.

9. There must have been something major
happened in that family.I thought it was strange Nancy,Ron and Patti pretty much ignored Michael. Maybe they don't like his bitter hatred and partisanship when it comes to people he doesn't agree with politically. The things I've heard him say about the Clintons....whew! Then he claims to be a CHRISTIAN? He's just another rightwingnut hypocrite and deserves the treatment he got. Oh yeah....he can talk nice all night long in front of a crowd at a funeral...but just wait until he gets in front of his mike on his radio show....that's when the devil will shine through. He is an evil man....just like most all the other CON-servatives.

11. Possibly
he was SO outside, that he has tried to OVER COMPENSATE with wingnutism to identify with his "father".

Michael is an ASSHOLE. Yet, this is the ONLY time I have felt sorry for a wingnut.

12. I have to look at his mug every Friday
because our newspaper started running his column a few months back. Lucky me, it's Friday with Dick Morris and Michael Reagan. And Michael really is a wack job.

I don't doubt that Nancy was not a nice step-mother. And you know that Patty was a spoiled brat so I can see that Michael maybe had a rough time there.

17. I did not watch any of it

For I spared myself. But, as the child of a parent that was adopted, I know what that pain is like. It was a living hell. Michael should have been treated equally. Unfortunately, with adopted children with siblings that are really those of the parents, this is often the sickening case.

So, I AGREE with you 100% !!! :D

14. Patty and Ron
are her children. Michael is her stepson. He is the son of her husband's first wife. Of course she will hold the hands of her own children. This has nothing to do with adoption.

I say this as a prospective adoptive parent and the wife of an adoptee. If Nancy had been Michael's adoptive mother you would have a point. As this is not the case I think you are being overly sensitive.

13. It sucks.
I don't agree w/ Michael Reagan's politcals views, but they way the press say "adopted" is insulting.

15. That I can agree with
It is insulting the way the press keeps mentioning the fact that Michael is adopted. Like that makes him any less of Reagan's son. I do find that irritating.

I have noticed however that the press does that frequently when referring to the children of celebrities. They always seem to add the word "adopted" like it carries some lesser weight. Tom and Nicole's "adopted" children, Angelica Jolie's "adopted" son, Calista Flockhart's "adopted" son, etc. Like it makes a darn difference!!

Like him or not, Michael is just as much Reagan's child as Patty, Ron, or Maureen. The only reason he is not center stage with Nancy is because he is not her son. Not because of adoption. I wish the press would stop mentioning that he was adopted. It is insulting to all adoptive parents and children. Biology is not a prerequisite to unconditional love.

18. michael talked about this in eulogy
tonight. He said his father NEVER referred to him as adopted, either in front of him or behind his back. And continued to see his kids from his first marriage on weekends after he married Nancy.

Michael kissed the back of Nancy's head when she was at the casket, and she turned to him and mouthed, "Thank you."

Michael is just another conservative boob on right-wing radio, but tonight, all three of those kids gave fabulous eulogies for their father. Much better than all those liars in the National Cathedral.
