I accidently listened to Rush today!

I finally got my car tape deck working, but whenever the tape ends, the radio comes on.
(Did you know the same station that carries the Padres carries Rush?)
So, it took me a minute to realize who it was and what was being said...
Rush was talking about a Psychiatric report on celebrity stalkers and how they act...
And they sound like his fans! His discription of stalkers match his own Dittohead fans!

THEN he got a phone call from a fan, who was concerned that she was showing the symptoms of stalking him...
And his response:
"I am not a celebrity, I am a national Icon, and do not fear psychiatric problems listening to me" (not to be considered a exact quote, but close enough)
I laughed quite loudly for several minutes, then finally got side two of Footloose on the deck...

He has so much influence on the American people that will just accept whatever he says without doing research, the typical American Republican. That is why liberals don't have a Limbaugh type person, because liberals actually like to have resources, facts, and statistics to make an opinion, not a psychotic liar that is determined to destroy every liberal by his means of controlling the mind of the ignorant American conservative (or just ignorant people, I wonder if many conservative voters would STILL be conservatives if the researched things for themselves rather than listening to what Mr. Blubber has to say)

second, i don't think the typical american repug is a ditto head. i think that instead that the typical amer repug is just uninformed and feels it don't make much difference who ya vote for anyway, might as well vote for the guy who promises giving money back to the middle class and projects the marlborough man image. (a lie of course.)

in addition, not all dittoheads are ignorant. sadly my mom is one. she had a double major in college with a minor and was considered the black sheep because she did not get an advanced degree.

i really am in a quandry as to what the appeal is and why whatever this prick says is accepted so blindly. i do agree, however, that the vast majority of dittoheads are tremendously uninformed and don't care to improve their knowledge (mom included).

sorry to ramble here, but i also agree that self research and a passion to know all sides is a hallmark of liberals, in general fair minded indivuals. in a respect, that may be our weakness. trudeau had a great strip maybe a month ago which clarified this.

I listened for a while, he was talking about Celebrity Worship Syndrome. Then some frantic woman called from California and told him she was a Rush fan but she was furious because she felt he was dissing Arnold. It was pathetic the way she obsessed over Rush towards the end. He must have liked it thought because he asked him to be a member of something(?) Did you catch her statement about getting the wacko votes. Something to the effect of "rebublicans needing the wacko votes to win California and Arnold would attract the wacko votes for them". It was truly pathetic.

Caught myself tuning in to Rush Lowbrow (accidentally flipped from the sports station when Dan Patrick was on a commercial break).

This lady was nuts. Very shrill, loud and obnoxious. Rush was playing along with it. Gave her a free membership to his site and a couple crap trinkets from his 'store'. Also invited her back to his penthouse to play a little "Bill n' Monica". Said he just got a brand new box of Dutch Masters.

Ok, ok, I made that part up. I did think he was about to ask her out. Fat groupie-banging moron.

Nonetheless, I get a kick out of Lush. Ridiculous commentary and moronic listeners to boot. So sad it's funny.

No wonder Bush had high approval ratings!

Don't EVER EVER accidentally listen to Hannity's AM radio show. In all my years of exploring the AM radio bands, it was was of the worst things I have ever heard.

It seems to be the epidemic, the same channel covers the Padres, Chargers, Rush and Roger Hedgecock and who knows who else.

A lot of people "accidently" listen to Rush and give him his big ratings, fat contracts and the kind of clout that gets him on ESPN.

Ratings are based for radio (as far as I know) by phone calls of people asking 'what are you listening to?' and 'what do you normally listen to?'. Since I don't have a phone in my car, and I don't normally listen to his propaganda (honestly, it was a accident), he doesn't get any points from me.

What, did you think he had a secret device attached to my radio, telling him when I'm listening? Go ahead and listen, and LIE if anyone calls and asks!

1. Listen to his program.
2. Tell others what you hear there.
3. Listen AGAIN to his program.
