Latest RW bullshit talking point: Kerry is too gloomy
Edited on Tue Jun-15-04 11:57 AM by mopaul
a RW spokesman on wolfie's show is using the same bullshit line they are now using in their anti kerry t.v. spots. kerry is too gloomy, he has nothing encouraging to say about the economy and the future.
the t.v. spot says',Kerry, he's talking about the depression' or some such shit.

they said how can the economy grow or prosper with john kerry going around talking about the depression. as if somehow kerry himself is responsible for the bad economy. what morans they think we all are.

.....edited for spelling on the word 'moran'.

2. No, I'd rather have a deluded meglomaniacal leader
who doesn't read.

Thinking happy thoughts does not turn an economy around.

ass-munchers.

4. Right ! Gloomy = pessimistic...
And Bush is an optimist, like Reagan! Never mind that he wants to win on your fear...Now run and hide under the bed because Ashcroft is about to announce another terrorist alert. Be afraid... No , be optimistic. I wish they could make up their minds.

13. ... nauseated...
Of course, the perfect response is for Kerry's campaign to use "Don't Worry Be Happy" in an ad showing terror & war photos, terror alerts, etc.

"George Bush's campaign called Senator Kerry 'gloomy'".... So we're here to tell Kerry to cheer up, there's lots to be happy about!

And then the song and a whole lot of pictures....

7. why is bush happy about lost jobs ?
why is bush happy about lost jobs, dead soldiers, lack of insurance for millions, lack of funds for troops, lack of funds for schools etc?

not in exactly those words but kerry needs to hit bush on his lack of concern for those who are hurting and not offering solutions.

8. Nothing new here...
It's always been the mantra of the repubs to accuse the dems of that which they are guilty of.

As Gibbon once said. "The worst in humanity is always quick to point out the faults of others that they refuse to see in themselves." (or something along those lines)

9. Shrub's best acting to date
He is putting on the sunny "Reagan" side as obvious counterpoint to the real negative campaign to make Kerry the un-this or that. His graciousness and jokes and easy manner can be very graceless or even winsome, but they are all planned.

If he keeps his nerves together and wins though, watch out. This guy wants to get even, because he is forced to show another face in public- for now.

11. Does anyone remember
shrub CONSTANTLY talking DOWN the stock market at the beginning of his term, because he wanted his tax cuts passed? Eveyday he would talk about how BAD the market was doing, and everytime his comments made the news, the market would tank. And of course, the more it tanked, the more people "realized" that we "needed" the tax cuts to stimulate the economy. God. Morans.

12. copying bush in 2000!!
remember when bush and cheney were ruining in 2000....they were constantly talking the economy down.talking about a recession coming and people did stop buying..I didn't purchase any major items because of bush....

I knew just somehow before the selection that something stunk...he started with his debate tapes being stolen and didn't let up until he got in the WH.....I still have not purchased any major items.......and don't plan to until a Democrat becomes President.

So to say that Kerry is "gloomy" is nothing compared to what bush and co did......

19. Are we electing a president or a spokesmodel?
Honest to fucking Christ! Is that what we are supposed to be looking for in the chief administrator of a massive government apparatus? Somebody cheery, who's 'exciting', smiles a lot, has good hair, and would be the sort of person you'd want to 'hang out' with?

Why don't we just elect somebody like Brooke Burke or Jessica Simpson in that case?

the humor and easiness of bush...they say hes the down to earth fellow they would have a beer with or a picnic.......

when did Kerry talk about the great depression? I'm sure the pugs tore it out of context and are blowing it out of proportion.
