Be clear about this: no government official, nor any major media outlet, is objecting to two wars the United States is conducting that everyone knows the reasons for are lies. Tens of thousands of people have been killed for lies, and no one in a position of public responsibility is condemning it.

America has become a nation of monstrously perverted mass murderers. And if you're an American and are not condemning it, then you are complicit in it. You're supporting needless mass murder, you pig!

People are being jailed for no reason, illegally tortured while in custody and deprived of due process. Innocent families around the world are being humiliated and killed for no legitimate reason. Our law enforcement apparatus - corrupt courts and cops - are failing to stop obvious crimes committed by the very rich, and assaulting ordinary citizens trying in a lawful manner to protest these injustices.

fix this? I don't see how the military taking over the country would do anything but make it worse.

mopaul, did you ever watch "I, Claudius" (or read the two books "I, Claudius" and "Claudius the God")?

Not only are there terrific insights into Imperial Families (make sure you read Suetonious and Tacitus to balance out the fiction with the reality, which is surprisingly close) but in the middle is the "Speech Bob Byrd should give to Ashcroft", given by a Senator being beaten by the Imperial "Ashcroft", Abu Ghrahib style.

I would highly suggest renting them (only local libraries have them, I've found) or reading them.

i just can't read a book like i used to. maybe i'll try a synopsis or the reader's digest version. but the bush's are our own imperial family, and we hold them at bay. all through history we have worshipped and followed corrupt leaders, kings, queens, dictators, emperors. we house them, love them, fear them, and we keep them at a distance, because getting to know them too well is dangerous.
