Alabama Justice won't remove Ten Commandments
p://www.msnbc.com/news/952507.asp?0cv=CB20

I know this is a little bit old (from yesterday), but I couldn't find it on the news page.

I love how the right wing nuts on the bench have such great respect for the rule of law. Assholes.

The most common abuse of right-wing judges is that they always, always, always assume that anyone the police (who can do no wrong) have arrested is guilty. Again, assholes.

1. Maybe They Need to Remove Judge Moore
He's the real travesty in this story.

4. Right wing religious nuts feel entitled, the rules are for others
I find people like that disgusting. If a liberal did that he would be tarred and feathered by now. Not that I am suggesting that because the left shouldn't lower themselves to those lower than low levels, it is just very frustrating.

5. What I think is funny
Is the argument that "well, it's not excluding any religious. It's just his religious beliefs. There's nothing that says you can't put up selections for the Talmud or the Koran."

Can you imagine the Firestorm that would erupt should a judge say "I'm going to hang up selections from the Koran in my courtroom."

I'm pretty sure we'd see spittle coming from more than one conservative commentator.

8. When someone disabeys a direct court order they can be considered
a lawbreaker. That is grounds for impeachment. He obviously has no regard for the law. He should be impeached and disbarred. What possible reason is there to retain him. He should follow the courts wishes and then appeal. Not disregard them completely. He is a disgrace to the judicial system.

9. His support is weakening
The other Justices on the Alabama Supreme Court have said they will do what they have to to avoid paying a fine, hinting that they will overrule Moore and remove the monument. Also, Bill Pryor (Yes! that Bill Pryor) has made it clear that even though he may agree with Moore's position, as Attorney General he will enforce the judgement of the Federal Appeals Court. Pryor's in a bind; he has to say that or his nomination is absolute toast.
