Brabury's Fahrenheit 451 #95 in Amazon Sales Rank - Thank Michael Moore!
That is higher (MUCH higher) than recent books such as:

Treason : Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism
By Ann Coulter (1,142)

Who's Looking Out for You?
by Bill O'Reilly (629)

Deliver Us from Evil : Defeating Terrorism, Despotism, and Liberalism
by Sean Hannity (119)

Ray Bradbury should be THANKING Michael Moore for drawing attention to his book once again.

1. What might be proof of Moore aiding Bradbury's book...
... would be sales listings or rankings before the release of Fahrenheit 9/11 was announced.

I'd like it to be true--because Fahrenheit 451 is a good book, but facts and figures would reinforce the argument.

It SOUNDS good!

Another wildcard would be, of course, schools requiring the book for their students.

However, it's summer - so I doubt there is a run on the books - and school systems typically buy books like this in bulk from special distributors.

4. plus
people should read it and weep.

Just having Ashcroft as AG brings back thos images so well described in those pages, of firemen starting fires of nasty, evil art and literature books.

6. Wasn't there supposed to be a movie remake of '451'?
Edited on Sun Jun-20-04 10:49 AM by RatTerrier
I've heard about it for years, and nothing became of it. I thought Mel Gibson owned the movie remake rights. Anybody care to shed more light?

BTW: The original book and movie were great. Ironic that Bradbury had a problem with Michael Moore. Guess ego wins in the end.
