Republicans and the 'Moral Card'
My parents are both Republicans, and primarily for moral reasons. So, I was wondering if anyone has compiled a list of all the 'moral' activities Republicans have been caught being engaged in. Examples like Newt Gingrich come to mind...

5. All together now: How moral are they?
So moral that only they are fit to police the Democratics for any sign, any hint of impropriety.

So moral that they get the vapors if a Democratic even APPEARS to lie, screw around, cheat on taxes, have a bad hair day, or leave the toilet seat up. Even more offended if said Democratic actually DOES any of these things.

And SOOOO moral that they can excuse and rationalize the same behavior among Their Own. Because policemen have different rules, duh! Everybody knows that!

The "journalist" Scarborough is a former Congressman who had a young, female intern turn up dead in his office, isn't he?

Someone please confirm.

Try my blog http://feloniouselephant.blogspot.com/

Also, Joe Conason's new book, "Big Lies," had a great chapter on this very subject. You cannot purchase and read that book too fast.

8. Republican Morality
One problem to overcome is that Republicans don't seem to think morality extends beyond what people do with their private lives (sex, drugs, et al). But morality goes deeper than where one flings their genitals. It also applies to actions you take that cause massive destruction to others as a consequence. Such as:

Nixon secretly ordering the bombing of Cambodia and Laos during the Viet Nam war

Reagan and Iran Contra

Reagan giving WMD to Saddam Hussein

Bush and Enron

On less catastrophic areas:

Trent Lott praising Strom

Arnold having and affair with a 16 year old (Repub sex doesn't count to repukes apparently)

Bob Packwood fondling aides

Ann Coulter calling for the US to assassinate the leaders of Islamic countries and forced conversion to Christianity

Compiling a complete list is a full time job

JOE CONASON BOOK "BIG LIES" IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS IN COMPARING D AND R.

EVERY DEMOCRAT SHOULD HAVE THE BOOK.

GREAT SECTION ON MORALITY. NAMES, ETC.

MY PART--EVERY SIGNIFICANT RECESSION IN 20TH WAS REPUG.

EVERY SCANDAL ON AN ADMINISTRATION WAS R (EXCEPT TEN BJ).

CURRENT ADMINISTRATION IS TRYING TO SET NEW RECORDS.

191 LIES--43 WAFFLES-- COPY LIES AT WWW.LIBERALSLIKECHRIST.ORG

REAGAN ADMINISTRATION SET, BY FAR, RECORD FOR MOST PERSONS INVESTIGATED, MOST CHARGED, MOST CONVICTED BY OIC AND JUSTICE DEPT.

YOUR R FRIENDS SHOULD HEAR THIS-HEAR THIS. THEY SPENT $110,000,000 TRYING TO SMEAR CLINTON. WHAT DID THEY GET FOR IT? ONE PERSON--YES JUST ONE PERSON--WAS "CONVICTED" OF A "FELONY" WHICH WAS COMMITED WHILE "WORKING IN THE CLINTON ADMINISTRATION. ONE.

10. google the words "Giordano" and "pedophile"
There you go.

Also remind people that Henry Hyde's "youthful indiscretion" happened at a point in time when he was older than Clinton when Clinton had his "youthful indiscretion".

11. And of course there's always "DoubleDownBennett"
The towering scold of the RW who has ranted and raved about any Dem indescretion for decades and when caught losing $8million to slot machines, whined that "they are legal to play"....forgetting of course that adultery is not a crime nor is prostitution in Nevada, which leads us into that quagmire....Moral?

We report, you decide!
Fair and balanced?

14. Here are a couple I know about
Senator Hutchinson (R-AR) had an improper relationship with a staffer (not sure which level, though).

Newt Gingirch served divorce papers on his wife when she had cancer.

Henry Hyde had an illegitimate child.
