I can't wait to see F911 BUT since most of us on this site are
major (maybe I should just speak for myself)internet news and political junkies, will there be stuff in this movie that will shock even us? I'm just curious.

3. UF under attack, help me fight back.
The site www.right-wingattackmachine.com, is setting up an anti-Michael Moore party in Gainesville near University of Florida. (where I go) The website says it will be, "hosting an impromptu gathering before going and seeing propagandist Michael Moore’s new movie “Fahrenheit 9/11.”

How is this happening on my campus?

7. i hear UF has changed a LOT since the days
i saw Dylan and Baez there in the stadium (what hasn't...). how about getting up an even bigger, noisier, more intelligent, and all around better gathering of MM promoters / truth tellers? i've got two really cool dem nephews going to UF and one of their girlfriends would be a great one to have at your rally. Good luck!

22. as a UF student
I do agree that there is a small, but very vocal right-wing presence emerging in the student body. I went to the RWAM.com website and one of the guys writes for the school paper. He has pretty far-right views and really tows te line of the RW talking points. But I feel that Gainesville is still a pretty liberal town, especially seeing what areas surround G-ville.

This is the fifth time I've seen this exact same non-sequitur.

2. I think I might be more infuriated than ever, but shocked? I doubt it.
Never in my wildest dreams could I have thought of the shambles in which ShrubCo has left Washington. It will take the likes of FDR to clean up the mess.

5. We should expect that on opening night Freepers will pile into theatres
to jeer, laugh and mock the film. We know how these sickos work.

9. Freepers love to give their money to Michael Moore
I have never understood why right wingers buy stuff like books, movies, french wine, etc. just to mock it or destroy it.

13. Yeah, and they will look like idiots to everyone else
You can jeer all you want, but when you can see the bullshit coming out of someone's mouth, you can't change it.

4. probably not so much the facts
as much the editing and actually SEEING what we already know put together like a jigsaw puzzle.

from everything i've read, bush reading to the kids after hearing the second plane hit, is DAMNING.

6. There will be some
The trailer was the first time I had seen tape of Bush saying "...now watch this drive". I was absolutely horrified, and I already knew he was a prick. Imagine what the average person will think.

And I knew Ashcroft was a lousy singer, but my goodness! That was even more frightening :scared:

We'll see a lot of things we already know, but with video we've likely never seen. Maybe a few new things to fill in the blanks.

Most is likely stuff we already know about, but with other tidbits to fill in the blanks.

10. OMG -Ashcroft singing?!?!?Say it aint so...
I have to admit, I didn't think of freepers going to be assholes. Hopefully that won't happen in the valley or I could get arrested for assalt! North Hollywood's pretty liberal so I'm hopin' to be with like-minded folks. It'll be interesting to see everything all put together and I'm sure a lot of the audience WILL be surprised at what they see (those who haven't been paying attention, which, face it, is a WHOLE HELL of a lot of people)!

12. Yep, he sings!
Watch the trailer. It is scary as hell.

And I doubt the freepers are even going to voluntarily give any money to Michael Moore. They want the film to bomb. Which it won't.

Who knows? Maybe a few will see it, and make them think a little. But we all know freepers are against anything that might make them think they were wrong.

8. I'm Inclined to Believe That No Revelations Await Me
when I see F/911, since I AM a news junkie with a ferretlike interest in digging up all the dirt on * and the neocons that's available. I must confess, however, that I was unfamiliar with that line from the movie trailer where * tells a repugnican crowd, 'some call you the elite; I call you my base.' Whether F/911 surprises me or not, I'm not missing it for anything!

11.  Come to think of it, I hadn't heard that elite line either until we all
started talkin' about it here. hmmm....maybe there will be some new stuff. But it doesn't matter anyway...I still can't wait.

With some other DUers called "Osama is a Bush". I am glad someone with some money made one so people would actually see it.

15. I think it will be disturbing but not shocking!
The personal interviews will be the hardest - it will be powerful to finally see the facts all come together on the screen. MM is risking his life to get this info out - sure wish more people had his courage. He will have to start on his next documentary soon.

18. It's not the movie, it's the venue
I posted this on another thread, but I'm looking forward to turning around occasionally to see the "shock and awe" on my fellow movie-goers' faces as the film unfolds. That alone will be worth the admission.

they had on a movie reviewer, who after they local host did their best to belittle moore, informed them that the movie is very good. I can't wait myself.

23. I expect a few suprises
Nothing major but Moore has apparently got alot of um.. backdoor footage of the administration in action. I know the "watch this drive thing suprised me because they cut that part out when they showed that clip on the news originally. My favorite suprise from the trailer was the private speech Bush was giving and he had this to say: "Good crowd here, the haves and the have mores, (laughter). Most people call you the elite, I call you my base" (applause)
Gee am I the only one who sensed a little comtempt for the middle class here?

25. I think I'll be just more infuriated than I have been since Dec. 12, 2000.
Going to see it Friday afternoon at 1:15 pm and I am bringing a one-time use camera to be prepared for freepers and fundies if needed. I can't wait.....
