The Glaring Contradiction
I can't help but find it stunning that the mainstream media, whores that they are, have already begun to write reviews of Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 911 that are, to put it politely, lacking in substance. As is almost always the case, writers and reviewers of Moore's work, or anything else that dares to challenge the perceived status quo, focus their attention not on the substance but on the style. All of the reviews of this film that I've currently read do give due credit to the unflattering picture of Bushco that the film presents, but they also all must add their criticisms of Moore personally. Funny that I saw none of the reviews of the Passion of the Christ take a similar tone with respect to Mel Gibson. There goes that liberal media again.

The truth, alas, is obvious but missed by the media and much of the public at large. By failing to train their attention on the substance of Moore's thesis and evidence, the press once again is derilect in their duty to the public. Rather than truly analyzing the evidence presented and highlighting that the record speaks for itself (read: Moore's correct in his criticisms of the Shrub and his minions), the attention inevitably leaks into some sort of personal criticism of Moore. It's stunning in its simplicity and overt nature. The press effectively employs the same strategies that George the Lesser has used for the past four years -- deflect and deny.

Go see this movie!! Regardless of how you might perceive Moore as a person or as a filmmaker, give the film the opportunity to do what it is intended to do -- bring the actions of this crooked and inept administration out into the light where the public can see them for what they truly are.

3. So who cares?
PhiL Hendry? Only white folks would listen there. I hope there are some Black folks in Mike Moore's white movie.
