My Father-In-Law, gaseous windbag that he is, has said that
Kerry is sure to win the election merely because NOBODY that voted for Gore will be voting for the Chimp. AND a lot of the Naderites will be voting to unseat the Chimp. AND more than a few folks that voted for the Chimp last time will not make the same mistake twice.

1. Sounds like your father-in-law is not
as full of hot air as you might think. Give the guy some credit.

2. Well That Does Make Sense
One indicator, per USA Today, is that Ohio is the bellweather state and Kerry is leading in several polls there.

I hope for all our sakes, your father-in-law is right.

3. I agree with the gaseous windbag
One repuke co-worker sadly stated that the election will be a "landslide" for Kerry. In addition to the reasons you listed, as well as the fact that we are leading in Ohio, I honestly believe we have a shot at Florida. Many younger generation Cuban-Americans are shifting to the democrats. Plus, many Arab-Americans (in Florida and throughout the nation), who voted overwhelmingly for bush have made a 180 and will DEFINITELY vote for Kerry. God, I can't wait 'till November!

4. Well, as we all know, it's not how the votes are cast...
but how they are counted.

7. Sane people who voted for Bush...
...will not make that mistake again.

People who didn't think it was a big deal that Bush stole the election last time, and who figured the right thing to do would be to give Bush a chance also will not make that mistake again.

8. What I've learned in this thread
is that even gaseous windbags have more political sense than Nadirites.

10. don't forget the new voters who's parents are forcing them to vote kerry
our 18 year old was forced to register to vote absentee. it was NOT AN OPTION. 2 weeks with the ballot in his hand & he'll get it done. getting to the polls before 8? not going to happen.

and he gets no tuition money if he votes bush.

12. Hmm
No tuition if he votes Bush? Wow. Um. I'm speechless...almost.

Let's just bribe and threaten to get votes, shall we? The ends justify the means, of course, right?

If some repug over in Freeperland had a post like this, DU'ers would be on it like ducks on a junebug. I can hear it now.."Child abuse! Coercion! etc."

Anyway, glad to hear you are raising such a "free thinker"...just as long as he thinks as you do.

11. Voter's remorse
He's right, I've heard it many times, people who voted for this idiot* last time didn't know what they were getting, now they do. My brother did, now he looks at the ground and spits when he hears the chimps* name.
Many young people also are waking up to the very real possibility of a draft, they're registering and I don't think they'll be casting a ballot for the smirking disaster*.

So your father-in-law is obviously a brilliant, brilliant man.
