Wingers are by and large pathetic.
Edited on Thu Jun-24-04 04:34 PM by BurtWorm
Just spent a day "dialoguing" with them. The debate began with my challenge:

For the love of America, what the fuck are you doing supporting this most corrupt of all administrations ever?! Seriously! Can any of you who consider yourselves intelligent, thoughtful, independent-minded patriots (!) look me in the eye and tell me with a straight face that the self-appointed boy king is better for the nation and the world than anyone--anything!--in the world? What is your reasoning? Why are you allowing what youy love to call a "republic" sink into despotism? Please!

After 135 posts, this is how they "resolved" it:

So worm, I have to tell you. I have to thank you for this interesting diversion in the afternoon. You have given me new appreciation as to why my cats are equally intrigued by "midnight milk-cap soccer".

I think I've given good answers to debunk your hyperbole that you've been spouting here today, and it's heartfelt to know that you think you really believe in the execrement that comes from your mouth. However, I think you should know when enough is enough and know that you've had your ass handed to you.

Just for the record, and for those playing at home, lets catch up on your feelings:

Bush is a liar.
Bush took power from the government and is an illegal dictator.
Everyone in US custody from the War on Terror is innocnet and should be released.
You see Kerry as an enabler for Bush's policies.
You see Bush as evil.
You are going to vote for Kerry.

So you're going to vote for a man that you don't really support to, in your mind, reverse the travesty of misjustice that occoured in 2000. When hard pressed with a realistic scenario germane to whether or not people without blood on their hands should be detained without 100% evidence that they're bad guys; you don't have an answer.

Tell me this, can you provide to us a solid platform of Kerry's that will change the current practices in Cuba or other detention facilities? Until then, take pleasure that Kerry isn't planning on changing any of the practices that are going on today. So in essence, without further evidence I'm going to say that Kerry is supporting the Bush policy on the detainees, and torture.

How can you sleep at night?

I don't know how any one can! ;)

1. They're intellectually challenged, yes
"...it's heartfelt to know that you think you really believe in the execrement that comes from your mouth."

See? There's no reason to even try I don't think. The sooner the undecided, uninformed swing voters realize that only dumbasses support these criminals, the better. If nothing else maybe the stigma of being associated with morons will dissuade them from joining the Greedy Old Party.

2. "right" wingers? I assume you mean that... right?

3. At the request of one of the more reasonable "wingers" in
the abovementioned debate, I am posting a tinyurl to the debate, in case anyone wishes to view it in its entirety (or even join in!):

4. Update
At the request of one of the wingers, here's an update on the progress of my debate:

So Burt, I think for your daily report/post back to DU you so do this:

1. Go back and tell them that you've been battling with the "digital brownshirts" and you're wearing it like a badge of honor. They'll dig that.
2. Post Gern's message about what can and cannot be posted on DU.
3. Start a couple of threads with the following topics:

US foreign policy over the last 50 years has been more of a benefit to the world than a detriment.
It's was a Good thing when Bush...
The Military Is Not All That Bad
Corporations Are Not All That Bad
Gay Marriage may not be the best choice
In General, It Is Wrong To Blame White People For Black People's Misfortunes

I would do it, but I don't want to "out" my DU persona yet. But I'll tell you what, if you post it, I'll help by posting in support of you.

6. You're arguing with THOSE asshats?
GEEZ! I thought you were debating on a REAL message board.

Those fools couldn't find their assholes with both hands and a flashlight.

All they do is read DU, surf with one hand, and soil tissues. They're a bunch of pathetic saps.

As far as conservative boards are, they're Little League.

8. they live in a fantary world
they either don't know or don't care that bush, inc's policies hurt other people. as long as they remain untouched by it (destruction and corruption)...they could care less. it's like living in a bubble.
