Like a Rock

Every Saturday morning I surf the internet for news. I search for everything that will tell me that America is doing something good. I find it harder & harder to find any "warm fuzzy good news stories". What I do find a lot of is war, bad economy, blackouts, celebrity trials, reality shows (which by the way are starting to make me gag!) Democrats have to run in Texas to another state, to save their jobs, Democrats having to run around in circles in California to save their job, and of course a President of the United Staes who always seems to be on vacation (nothing seems to get done). Needless to say I get very depresed, very quickly. I was raised that music helps sooth the soul. When I get to this point I like to kick back & listen to the Oldies from the 70's.

I was listening to one song in paticular this morning, and in my opinion I think all democrats should listen to it and adopt it as our anthem. If for no other reason to show our state of mind & resolve. The song I am referring to is "Like A Rock" by Bob Seager.

I think of Chevy trucks. :shrug:

But I like the general idea of having a song that inspires and unites our Party...

You hear the song & you think of the Chevy ad. Take that song & the meaning behind it for all Democrats... It can be empowering!

They sit there and don't do anything but gather moss and molds.

It requires a great deal of eneergy to move them (chevy trucks are gas guzzlers).

You can throw rocks at people and crack their skulls open.

I think the chevy jungle is a baaaaaaaaaaad choice...

bush's approval sinking ... like a rock?

democratic unity ... like a rock?

bush lies about not nation-building ... like iraq?

democrats are solid on national security ... like a rock?
