republicans, no matter how far north or south of the mason-dixon line, are human garbage.

But we eat northern beans with our fat back and corn bread. Give us some credit. Them beans is brain food.

Just...tryin' to help things along here...

(I like your take on the candidates, by the way...)

The south is no more fucked up or wonderful than the rest of the country. One of the real issues of liberalism vs. conservatism is population density. That's another explanation for the south being a bit more conservative: not so many high-density major metropolises with lots of contact with foreign countries.

Progressives in the south deserve lots of kudos; it's easy being a liberal here in L.A., and even easier in S.F.
