2. Ah-nold
I just hate it when the same people who objected to making fun of Clinton's sex life now hold Ah-nold's sex life against him.

3. I rather like news from obscure sources,
and I'm glad you started this poll-thread so people can register their disgust of some flame-bait threads without having to add traffic to said threads.

The others on your list I can and do do without. We need to ignore provocateurs--and let their threads sink. (I know that sometimes no provocation is intended but, even in those cases, sinking is the best solution, IMO. Better threads than these die every day.)

7. And the Clark Worship
I thought things were bad when some other candidates were being talked about like saints; it was NOTHING like the Wesley Clark worship. I guess it's those eyes, the silver hair and the pearly whites for a lot of them - they sure talk about his "looks" a lot. To me, the Clark worship is plain revolting.

8. Or the Dean worship
The weasle face, and the chipmunk eating habits. Not to mention the compulsive lying, switching of postions, gauging of college students and poor, and sure doom of the Democratic Party in the 2004 election. To me, the Dean worship is just plain stupidity.

11. Israel-Palestine polemics
It's important to talk about Israel and Palestine, but I don't think I've seen calm discussion on it yet. The screaming and character attacks are very annoying.

HOW DARE YOU SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT ABOUT MY FAVORITE FORUM! Oh, sorry-I didn't realize that this was GD, not I/P. :)

Seriously, it isn't as angry as it might seem at first glance. At times it can get very heated, but at other times there is serious discussion of the topics at hand.

14. Cadidate Bashing...
When will you understand? Sharpton's decent, Braun's decent, Dean's decent, Kucinich's decent, Kerry's decent, Edwards' decent, Graham's decent, Clark's decent, Gepthardt's decent, Lieberman's... Okay fine, Lieberman isn't decent. But the other nine are.

15. what? No other option
Well can I do a write-in and suggest the "We're Screwed!" threads. They're quite depressing. I come on here and see a thread explaining how the dems are gonna lose terribly in 2004. Very annoying.

18. Other
Any "news" item about the bimbo-of-the-minute. Women who have more silicone in their body than brains. Men who are prettier than the average supermodel. I don't care if Britany and Justin have had sex. I don't care if Christina Arugala likes to dance around nekkid. I don't care about the size of J Lo's butt. And I'm sick of seeing the Dumb Guy from "That 70's Show" in movies!

I likes being a bigot without anyone knowing, hee, hee. The Freeperzes likes these posts too because it gets alot of people on the board fighting with each other.

22. Fake news, gender wars, southern wars, conspiracy
Edited on Sun Aug-17-03 09:41 AM by quinnox
theories for every accident, all these topics can be annoying. Fake news are the posts that say, "I heard this on so and so, but no link" or "This is a rumor" Nine times out of ten it is B.S., but there are always people who will believe anything.

Another one I find annoying is "I won't vote for those that voted for Iraq war, Patriot Act, or Homeland Security"
This is usually a Green or non-Democrat (which, oddly, isn't usually mentioned in the post). Also left out of these posts is the fact that Feingold isn't running for prez, he is the only one that voted against all three. (Although I'm unsure about Kucinich, it might be possible he voted against all three, anyway the point is these are the three issues that are mentioned in posts)

26. posts not-so-cleverly designed
to discuss "religion bashing" that bash a religion.

In fact, just put me down for religion as the most irritating topic, at least here at DU.
