This is why I am here at DU on GD ...
Edited on Sun Aug-17-03 11:30 AM by TruthIsAll
First, let me say that I would NEVER advocate a quality test for threads.. cause I believe in Freedom of Speech. I plead guilty of posting stuff on GD which probably should go in the lounge (like modified lyrics or poems) but I post them on GD because they are ALL political and anti-Bush. To rant against southerners or greens or conservatives is the last thing we need here.

Every damn one of my threads relates to the Bush cabal. I will bash Dems if they deserve it by acting like wimps or knocking liberals - such as the DLC, Lieberman or Daschle.

Recently, I have been posting links from google to kick-start discussion on PowerGridGate.

I wear my Tinfoil Hat proudly. Nothing happens by chance in Politics.

Ultimately, our goal should be to raise awareness - for DUers, the Media, Dems, Repub and other lurkers - by highlighting the daily raping of our system by the Bush Cabal. We have much fertile stuff for discussion and analysis. As recently as six months ago, we were questioning whether we lived in a fascist state. Can there be any question now?

I remember when I posted the Encyclopedia of Computer Fraud. All the work of getting the links had been done by others ( the articles, the links to them, etc.). By posting it on DU and having it kicked for over a month, we raised awareness of this issue. There is no longer any question that fraud occurred in 2002. Virtally all of us can agree that Georgia, Minnesota and Texas were stolen.

I also posted 500 Questions on 9/11. I didn't do the work; others did. I just did some editing. This was picked up by other sites.

And the Four Bush Quizzes are up on QuestionW. Presenting the facts as multiple choice questions is the best way I know to spread the word on the Bush Resume, the parallels to the rise of Hitler and our home-grown fascism, as well as the pathetic Bush record in office. I want Bush gone. Period.

By writing letters to Gore and Carter and Rather and Blitzer on DU, I get my frustrations out knowing that they will either see it or hear about it, either from friends, associates or from e-mail blasts.

By doing probability analysis of 2002 Senate races, I hope to lay the foundation of a circumstantial case for fraud. Initially, the post met with resistance, but I kept at it, and believe that most disbelievers in the methodology came around.

Same with the JFK assassination. My analysis of the probability of all those witnesses dying unnatural deaths within a year of the assasination proved (at least to me) that the odds of no conspiracy are close to zero. But the key point is it got some great responses from DUers who did their own analysis -and provided an amazingly quick confirmation of mine - and that of the British actuary who did the original analysis shortly after the assasination - and was vilified for it by those defending the Warren Report in the House Select Committee on Asssainations in 1977. Well, he was right.

The point being: yes, we are constantly lied to. We didn't know it in 1963, but we sure know it now, don't we?

1. Quick question about the witness assassinations - Were there some in
or around 1977, as well as around the time of the Warren Commission?

4. Yep. I sure didn't know that
we were being lied to then. I have my copy of the Warren Commission Report right here on my bookshelf. I never read it though. Although now I think I'll take the time to look through it. The paper-bound copy of the report is 888 pages and cost $2.50 at the time. Think you could buy a report for that price now?

I learned how we were being lied to by spending time on DU since after the selection. I really do hope we can keep DU a high-level Board.

5. Hi TIA!
Your contributions to this board don't go unnoticed. Your statistical insights are quite revealing in regards to the JFK assassination.

Thanks!

6. This is why I come back to DU
Edited on Sun Aug-17-03 12:05 PM by Wickster
Day after day I read the postings on DU. I have read every one of the postings you cite, TruthIsAll (lurking has become a habit).

Thank you, TruthIsAll, eventhough I may not have posted a thank you before, I do thank you, and others like you whose words give me reasons for deep thought, further research, and hope. Our country is not lost - not as long as there are folk like you around.

I, too, wear my tin foil hat proudly - skepticism is personally healthy if not judiciously healthy. Time will eventually prove its use worthwhile or not. I find that there are wonderfully written dissertations at DU. I try to avoid non-issues here unless I need a laugh. We should have one goal and one goal only - removal of the Bush administration and most Republicans from Congress at the next elections (something that your research and analyses will help to do as the evidence gets piled up). If we do not accomplish that, then nothing else we do will have any affect on the condition of our people, our country, and our world. With that accomplished I could then turn my attention to specific issues.

Keep up the good work - Know that at least I am reading and agreeing. To me, "Silence means consent." Although, this is a little hard to convey unless we are face to face. ;)

(On edit: I probably should pay more attention to syntax and grammar, too) :)

7. A lot of worthless threads obscured the real message this weekend
Thanks for working to raise the level of awareness on DU and nationally. I appreciate how much you and others have contributed.

I have an idea for anyone looking for a way to take some sort of action to publicize our dissatisfaction with the current regime. Hope you don't mind if I post a link.

8. How about: 'My tin foil hat is bigger than your tin foil hat?'
I really appreciate people who take the time to spread valuable information here at DU. I'm slow to the punch in this regard, and therefore am grateful for all the people who take the time to gather and post links of enlightening information here.

I think the word, 'conspiracy' is used a bit much to put down someone who posts the more unbelievable stuff. I've already seen the word a couple times today here. These are unbelievable times, especially for those of us who never thought these kind of things would happen in America. It's good to keep an open mind. If someone posts something, I check it out, like the 'cell phones don't work on planes' theory. (Yes, they do.) People should question everything they read in the first place, and each link gives us an opportunity to do a little bit of research on the subject and to eventually decide the facts for ourselves. The more informed we are in these times, the better. The more outrageous stuff could indeed be true, so why ridicule someone for posting it as a 'conspiracy nut'? This will only discourage people from posting information that might fall outside of our belief zones, and maybe our belief zones need to widen a bit.

Something stunk about the 2002 elections, because I had seen the polls beforehand, and the results were so different from the polls. It was great to have the statistics pointing out the glaring anomaly's. It helped bring home to many of us how important it is to have a paper trail if we want to keep our democractic right to elect our representatives.

9. Why I am on DU and in GD...
I am here to read posts just like the ones you put together. I do comment from time to time but I had not been as politically active before the selection as I am becoming. For me this has been a huge learning project and I hope to be able to add to this all myself someday. Because of posts like yours I am getting "edumacated" and I thank you for your work.
