2. LOWV national or state level?
article really doesn't say, but it's good news nonetheless. Still more work to be done, but every article helps raise the issue.

3. The AUDACITY of these comments ....
"That idea has been rejected by Britain J. Williams, a computer scientist who certifies voting machines for Virginia, Georgia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Williams, a defender of Diebold and other electronic voting machines, said adding receipts would create a paperwork nightmare for election officials."

A paperwork nightmare ? ....

Did the paper ballots used for CENTURIES in the US create a 'nightmare' ? .... or form the backbone of a democracy ? ...

"GEEE WHIZ everyone: ... THESE ballots are too much of a nightmare: ...

How bout if I instead listen to each voter's choice, ... and tell you at the end of the day who won ...... You trust me, DONTCHA ? .... "

DONT they understand ???: ... WE DONT TRUST ANYONE ! .... NOT with ballot counting ....

Not EVEN Diebold ....

5. Ahhh, but you have to know Dr. Williams
He's been one of the Georiga Black Box Voting Activists favorite characters in the cast of characters.

His screed in full can be viewed here: http://www.blackboxvoting.org/williams.htm

Here's my personal favorite:
Types of Threats to an Election System: There are two reasons why a person might launch an attack against an election system: to disrupt the election or to commit election fraud. In the first instance, the intent of the perpetrator is simply to disrupt the election, an act of terrorism.
